I just read Kazuo Ishiguros book Remains of the day. Its asplendid book based on post first world war british society. It portrays the life and values of a English Butler. It touches poignantly the subtleties of a butlers life , love and feelings or rather lack of it. I would strongly recomend you to read this enriching book. It leaves you satisgied. My Rating 4/5.

I loved the book and the movie. It was very heartwarming and it truly did leave you with a sense of what they went through in that time line. I whish we still wrote like that and that type of mentality. It was sad in some spots, but it was what made the book don't you agree?

Oh cat nice to find someone who has read the book. You are right its a delightful book. It transports you to the war age Britain. writing as you say is unique and amazing. Indeed, the very pain has gone into making it a great book.
