Gosh, this morning when I got up, I felt my head is dizzy, and I have to steady myself. I felt sick actually this morning. I was debating should I make myself an excuse to take a day off, or should I make it to work. The final decision will be I will make it to work, and try my best to stay awake. I ate some breakfast, but I lost my appetite already. So, I only ate a little, and I hope that I can make it through 8 hours. Otherwise, I might ask for half day off. Is not that I am too dedicate to the job, I just don't want myself to be laid on the bed for the rest of the day. That is lazy.

I have been in that situation before. I used to go to work even if I had fever. I figured, what am I going to do at home anyway. I gave it the old college try. Sometimes, I would start feeling worse while I was working, them my boss would just say, go home and get some rest. It does look good to the bosses that you made the effort.

Hi, kingparker..
That's so sad to know.. I hope you'll be alright when you get home. Try to drink some medicine.
If I feel sick and I feel that I really have to get up to go to work, I make sure I have foods with me. I just eat every time I feel dizzy at work.
Get well soon!

If you are feeling sick and dizzy, you could have a virus. Viruses are usually more contagious when your first get them.
You should stay home for a day and rest and see if you feel better tomorrow. If not, then go to the doctor in case it is something serious.
If you go to work with a virus then lots of people will get sick and you would have done your workplace a better favour staying away for the day. It is not being lazy it is being sensible.
If you have a bed illness, going to work may make you sicker and then you could be sick for an even longer period. Staying at home for the day and resting could even help you recover if it has only just started.

Ya..ya, you are right. Don't think of anything just go there and work because if you think of work you will work. There are lots of causes for you to feel dizzy, it will subside actually if you start working and if it is too dizzy until you can't stand up then you should visit the doctor. Resting on your bed for the rest of the day is not lazy, you must consider working is a long journey and healthy first before work as what they claim "no health, no wealth". I'll see you on the next Monday...right?

If you're so sick you can't perform daily fuctions, then you should call in sick, or tell them you may be a little late. While working is important you don't want to run the risk of possibly infecting others. You may have a bug that'll pass, or you may have something that will infect others. If the later is the case your boss would perfer you remain at home and recover before going in and making your co-workers sick. Though I hope you feel better.

I know what you mean. I hardly ever missed work. I never wanted to miss the pay and always wanted to be productive.

When I get sick and have to / or choose to stay home from work I usually still do things. I won't stay in bed, if anything I'll get online, do my laundry or something of the sort.
I'm sorry that you're not feeling well. However, you could choose to stay home and instead of staying in bed all day do your laundry, clean your room up a little then watch a movie and relax. Take some medicine and maybe take an early afternoon nap.

If you are sick it may be better for you to stay home. I know that money is important, but your health should be important as well. I know that when my husband is sick he goes to work anyway, but that is because if he did not go into work nothing would get done. He has to pitch in whenever someone else is sick, but nobody bothers to help him out when he is sick. I remember one time my husband had stayed home because he was dizzy and had fainted. His vision was so blurry that day that he could not drive or see well at all. Well, he had six calls askinhg why things were not getting done at work. I answered the phone each time and said well, my husband is sick and is not at work.

Hi kingparker!
I usually feel this way also but feeling sick commonly is just in my mind. The struggle oftentimes is mind versus body and as much as possible my mind has to win. The struggle mostly end up with me going to work. I think I would feel sicker if I just lay in bed and do nothing for the rest of the day.
