Friends, is it still practical to buy a watch when we have our cellphone all the time? I saw this Technomarine watch and i really wanted to buy it. Practicality calls though that it is rendered useless. What do you think?

A wristwatch cannot be substituted by a cellphone. That's my opinion. If you want to know what the time is would you still bother yourself to take the cellphone out of your bag and check it? What if you're in a hurry?
I never considered my cellphone as a thing to look at when i want to know the time. I'd rather look at my wrist for it or the wall clock.
I would say go and get that Technomarine watch and since you're going to Singapore, get it there as i heard it's much cheaper there.

I'm not using a wrist watch to track the time, I use my cellphone instead.
I also do not like wearing much accessories like necklaces or watches or bracelets.
I am an easy going person and often spend time in relaxing.
I think wearing watches is good for people who have hectic schedules so they can keep track of the time easily. Wearing watches also make you feel and look good.

i still do wear a watch, i still need it specially during at work where cellphone needs to be in the bag or pocket. i am a musician and when during playing cellphones are not to be brought on stage for they create feedbacks on the microphones and it is more likely to be a disturbance. so i still wear a watch and still buy watches. my wife still do wear watch maybe because it adds up to her accessories but during important gathering only.

I am not a watch user since my wrist is really small. Wearing one would make me look like I am wearing a wall clock! I challenged myself this year on wearing one by buying a prestigous brand. I thought that because of the price, I will be "forced" to wear it to not render it useless. But it still turned out that way--useless. It's still as good as new though, and well kept in the closet. I am planning to sell it to my sister with a discount.
There are people though who still find watches useful despite having a cellphone because cellphones are not carried all the time. It's in the pocket or in the bag most of the time. Unlike watches, they are worn. So looking for the time is much easier and convenient.

Go ahead and buy it! If you really want to and you can afford it, of course. :)
Most of the people I know who wear a watch do it because they either need it for work or they're in school. After college, I stopped wearing a watch daily and have worn my only pretty watch occasionally for an event or party. But that lovely piece of accessory is long gone and I haven't bought a new one since.
