This is one of my favorite sayings. There is nothing like trying not to make faces in public when the person just a few feet away smells like they rolled around in a pig sty. Another uncomfortable situation is when the person talking to you has not brushed their teeth in weeks. Every time they open their mouths a smelly miasma assaults your nose. It's really hard to be polite when everything in you just wants to give your sense of smell a reprieve. We have showers for a reason.

For me, I have a different view on that. Cleanliness for me in this saying is not the physical cleanliness like being tidy in your sorroundings, being neat in the way you dress, or being simply clean with everything. For me, the cleanliness here is the heart. If you have a clean heart, everything follows like you help those in need, you do good deeds to others, you do not do something wrong or bad to other people, and all that kindness. So being "clean" is next to Godliness.

I believe that. That is why I have to make an effort to clean my home. I don't think Gid will enjoy a visit to my place because all the books are everywhere, and the kitchen pans and casseroles one on top of the other... sigh! God loves beauty and order, everything immaculate and pure. He does not want to dwell on filthy and messy surroundings... So, clean up!

When I will be out of the house, I really see to it that my room is clean and everything is in order. I don't want it messy. I'm a meticulous person.
I think, if I leave the house messy, I will have a messy mind too. Hehehehe.. Just kidding..
Seriously, cleanliness is next to Godliness. How organized you are at home will reflect on your personality.
