Yes, not being able to sleep is a major nuisances and very disturbing. The only known and non-medication way of inducing sleep atproper times are (i) chanting the holy namesof the lord. this relaxes the mind and helps in switching it off. (ii) wash the knees, elbows and backof the neck with cold water jsut before going to bed. Wipe off very carefully so that it is completely dry.

Yeh sometime i have a problem with a little child of mine sleeping sidways in our bed lol dont know why they do that. I used to have big problems when i was younger as i had a tumor in my leg and it was very painfull it used to keep me awake for hours on end at one stage just before i got my operation i was lucky if i had 10-15 hours sleep a week yes a week. I used to get hallucantions and everything because of this. Thankfully nowadays my only problem is my 2 year old deciding he wants to sleep sidways in mum and dads bed:)

I'm an insomniac. I hate it when I have to wake up early the next day but no matter what I do, I can't sleep. I tried drinking milk before going to bed, but to no avail. Even if I go to bed early and close my eyes, I still stay awake. I don't want to resort to sleeping pills 'coz I'm afraid of the side effects.

Never Achyuta, it takes me 5 minutes only when i go to bed. I do Pranayama/Yoga daily in morning and evening hour, which is best medicine available in the world. It releases the stress of day long working. Please try it....

heya,
i find it really hard to get to sleep because i think too much when i go to bed so i stay up really late until im so tired i cant think and then go to bed at like 3 or 4 in the morning. which is stupid because i get up feeling really tired for most of the day and then the adrenaline kick in a night time so i cannot sleep again..

No, I have never experienced this. My first suggestion would be to get the computer "out of your room". Place your computer in a different room. A room that you can close the door to. You can treat your computer like a "work schedule". You can only use the computer during certain times, when you are done, you are done go home (ore leave the computer). Just like working. This is truly an addiction that is not good - it is effecting your personal life obviously. Unplug the computer each time, completely if you have to until you can become disciplined enough to only be on the computer say 1-hour a day. You will be more selective about what time and how you spend it.
