Songs in Dreams..

Last night I had a dream, a semi-lucid dream, where I was sitting at the base of this lake and waterfall. The sun was setting and casting this gorgeous golden and pink glow on the water. I leapt up and started flying, and I remember feeling so happy that I just started singing. It was the most beautiful song, but the instant I woke up I couldn't for the life of me remember any of the words. I'm usually really good at remembering my dreams and the elements of my dreams, but when I couldn't remember any of the words to the song, I was really sad. I wanted to write them down in my dream journal.
Have you ever dreamed of singing a song or were listening to a song in the dream? Did you remember what it was, or did you forget them too? Ever had an experience a bit like this?

I remember a dream I had in 9th grade. I remember wandering through a strange landscape and this thin, dark haired man came to me and there was with music in the dream that we danced to. Then, shortly after I woke up, the song - Love is Blue came on the radio and I knew that was the song in my dream.

So were you hearing a song that you'd heard before? That happens to me sometimes too, but I also get this experience of hearing new songs that I think my mind is composing. I don't think they actually exist anywhere but my head.

I am dreamer, both night and day. Maybe that's why fantasy comes to me more easily than real-life dreams. Some dreams are normally pretty normal but just a little strange and unrealistic and on occasion I do hear some music. The disturbing dreams trouble me and I have to wonder if there is more to the dream other than my vivid imagination. If the dream is disturbing, I try to figure out where the elements came from in my past real life experiences.

Yes, but only once in my life. Like I said before, I do hear music but on one occasion, I did not recognize it. I don't know if it was something totally unique of my own creation mentally or if it was something I heard long ago and have just forgotten about. I only remember one time though and that melody is long gone, sad to say.

That's kinda how it was with me. It's happened before too, not always a song with words but also instrumental things.

I relate to the fantasy coming more easily to me than real-life. Have you ever dreamed a song though? One you'd never heard before... almost like you were writing it right that second?

Yeah, plenty of times I either began the dream singing or humming
some tune or end the dream with rapping or singing(country Style)
and to be honest...I NEVER heard these songs in my life. I also don't
even listen to country music by the way.

That's strange. I wind up singing stuff that at least resembles the kind of stuff that I listen to.
