Chevrolet pickup truck, built in 1986, "Bull"
Well, the car is not very modern, but corresponds to something a Harley on 4 wheels for the following reasons:
1st Made in USA
2nd enormous noise
3rd enormous fuel consumption
4th poor ratio of capacity to performance
5th associated with adventure and freedom
6th for the really tough guy who wants to show or how hard he wants to be
7th not as cost effective
8th usually somewhat refined
9th unreliable

As well as Jeep Wrangler and Morgan come to mind even Rolls Royce and especially the Land Rover Defender one.
The Hummer is just too young for me, with perhaps the Beetle and Mini break between each of / the old and new variant (s) a little (too?) Tall.

For you, the Harley Davidson motorcycle is a modern,
more contemporary current technology?
Then multiply by the further development of reading at B M W
equally among the Japanese high-tech motorcycle farmers.

Yes I know your intentions, but a modern product is not only viewed from an elegant appearance. You should know that.

It all depends on what image it is meant. The opinions are as far apart. The analogies to certain Jeep models, as is pretty close. Nevertheless, there are already, depending on the perspective, certain differences. In comparison to modern motorcycles coinage act through carburetor ventilated motors in which the gear is housed in a separate case, not really progressive. The power output and efficiency of the engines is the same with this complaint. Furthermore, they say after the Harley riders that he neatly endurance and have fun on the screw, since it fritter away at least as much time with the repair, maintenance and care needs, as he used to ride. It also circulates the bill Harley-Davidson = unreliable.
Since the bikes are priced to settle in the top segment, the typical Harley rider is either perceived as an absolute hardcore bikers or prison experience as a dentist in their second spring. Often resonates even have a stereotype of Indian jewelry and trinkets jackets with fringe as an accepted dress code. This is supposed to be distracted by the ugliness of the motorcycles. This often led ugliness also serves as the main explanation of why these bikes rarely found on such series in the state and are actually more 'customized' to be.
Of course, these opinions are quite exaggerated, but there already seems a kernel of truth to it to be. If you look at these 'extended definition' of the brand image looks, one is not really a suitable counterpart in the automotive industry that this image is fair in all respects. The accusation of poor quality sounds more like Fiat or Yugo, the outdated technology to its current Chinese manufacturers, the classic midlife-crisis-mobile is more likely the Porsche for the smaller budget is now the MX5. Harley Davidson price seen playing in the top league so that the design would be analogous to compare in the automotive industry rather well with exotics such as Rolls Royce or Bentley.

Sorry, I remember when this issue immediately an old Lanz Bulldog.
It's not a car but an image like a Harley, he has also.
Greasy clothes, Flat Cap,
Similar refinement, so that one can count the bars in the state of gas.
A Lanz Bulldog also requires a whole man, like a Harley.
No, not the new things that are equipped with E-STARTER.
Ne really cool, old Harley does not occur to everyone.
Imagine even as two "animals" next to each other before.
Fits, right?

Just as the U.S. - make do with outdated technology cars, so the Harley Davidson motorcycle.
When will the industry in the U.S. to learn to the sharp World - to provide competition?
