I would say time. Time is the only real way to find out though quality is also a big factor. You will just know. I do not think you can control it in that it happens or it does not.

Hello hafizjabir011, Yes you're right it is hard to find a good friend, I had lots of betraying friends who I cut all out of my life and later met someone is now my best friend. You will know who is good and who is not, always keep your guard up though when making new friends.

I have a hard time also making new friends nowadays. I always seem to be choosy as to whom I hang out with. Sometimes, I end up confining myself with friends whom I grew up with. I find it also hard to trust people much. I guess, I am just cautious. Indeed, in any friendship trust is an important element for it to keep it alive and growing.

I agree good friend doesn't come by so easily nowadays, it is a blessing for someone be able to get a good friend in today world. Good friend must possess trustwortiness, good character; dependability, value on our friedndship; respect for each other privacy and choice.

I believe that friends in need is a friend indeed.When i got into trouble,the first person who came to me and encourage me ,i define she is my friend.

Actually not good friend but a friend in need. very hard to find out and i have yet found a single one in real world. very hard.
