Pottermore is going to be much more than just a Harry Potter-themed myLot-type site. It's going to be fully immersive and take you through the books in an interactive way - for instance, you'll be sorted into a House at some point not long after registering. You'll also, as the other poster mentioned, be able to learn facts and tidbits left out of the books. There's an article at Wired that gives a lot more details about what the site will be like - I don't have a high enough rating to post the link, but you can go to any search engine and type in "Pottermore" and get a LOT of info, including screenshots and things that users who registered early are seeing. I registered early myself, but I haven't gotten my welcome email to start using the site yet, as they're still in Beta testing. So it's a fan site, yes, but with gaming qualities and other extra tidbits. I think it'll be loads of fun!

it does look good i will register it tells you stuff that you don't know and can't find in books or movies about harry potter i think it will be like mylot but the topics will be about harry potter only,you can purchase eBook also can't wait i am a big harry potter fan watch every singe movie and read the books
