I received mail at my mailbox that was not for me. I just took it inside with intentions of putting it back in the box the next day. But the next day I got more mail with the wrong address. The postal carrier had gotten the roads mixed up I guess. Both addresses had a 16 and a road starting with S. When I got the second mail it reminded me I had forgotten to send back the first one! The mail looked like a card and the address was handwritten. So I decided to just take it to them. Who knows, it might be somebody's birthday cards. It took us a little while to find the house but when we did I was glad I had went to the trouble. They were birthday cards and they belonged to a little old lady who had just turned 100 years old! She was so happy to get the cards.
I got to wish her a happy birthday. I got to feel all warm fuzzy inside! lol
Now I'm ready for my next good deed!

Hey. That was really wonderful what you did to this elder lady. I'm sure she was really happy to have her birthday wishes. Can you imagine turning 100 and not receiving any birthday card? That would be really sad day for her but thanks to you it turn happy! I wish you all the best!

That is the nice thing about doing good deeds, they make you want to do some more of them. I am so glad you delivered her cards and this way she got an in person greeting from you as well. What a bonus.

Hi devideddi! I think that what you did was really nice of you!
Sometimes doing something like that that seems so simple means
so much. I've done things for people "just because" and I feel
so good inside. No one has to know it, but I know it and that's
all that matters. I think you are going to be blessed for your
"good deed". They call that "Paying It Forward"~

I'm sure that she greatly appreciated you returning her mail. I think sometimes we can get so busy and feel that something as simple as returning mail could be an inconvenience. Your thoughtfulness showed in your actions. You took the time out of your busy schedule and did something nice for someone else. We need more people like you and are considerate of others. It's amazing that you were able to meet a lady who has lived 100 years. That is really neat. There aren't too many people who live to be that old. I'm so happy that your experience turned out so well.
