What do you do with your old underwear/panties?

I know it's abit awkward to ask about undies this time. I was thinking about it and I'm sure some of you might be thinking the same like I did, each time you found some torn, old, loose undies in your wardrobe. lol I remember I'm still keeping some of them not because I am not wanting to dispose them, but it's just that I don't know how to dispose them. Do you throw them away to the bin? Are there any chances you're using your old undies as a mopping table cloth??? :O What actually do you do with them? Do you just give away and let the charity handle them? Those undies just keeps me wonder.......... :)

I've always wondered about those, because it's really a much more delicate subject than a t-shirt that you can just cut up or use as a rag. When making a bag for charity, I might sneak one in and feel a little bad about it. If I were poor, I'd go along just fine without underwear, than taking donations for someone else's gross underwear. I might also sneak them into the garbage, I know they'll be in a landfill forever, but I could never find any other solution.

My old underwears are still functional as an all around rag in our house. Although, I prefer using them in washing my car or cleaning the cabinet and not as a mopping table cloth - I couldn't imagine using them that way. lol

I either throw them away, wash them for use as rags for cleaning the window and mirrors or my eyeglasses.

Hehe..sis you really keep all of them??(^^) You don't have to do so just throw them in the trash can/bin...I have saw an article about there are societies who run a campaign about donating the old/new undies but I don't think it is good indeed. We should not give things to donate to others as we already used except outer clothes not the inner. If you want to donate the undies then donate the new as a sign to show a respect to others. Otherwise just throw them away~(^^0)

So you better catch and find them all and throw them away~ If you still feel shy to do so them cut them in pieces and get into the plastic bags and tada!!! give it to the trash can!!!(^^) What can we do and get from G-string?? -thinking but i can't find any!!!LOL (^^)

Yeah, I still do. Yeah, that's what I thought. I find it abit rude to donate our used undies, panties and what's more G-strings! LOL I don't think they can benefited the g-strings...

Though funny I am sure that recycling would be ideal. Sadly I just throw them in the trash bin. I don't use them for other purposes and yikes I want them in the bottom of the bin.

Panties are used on our bottom and our private area. These two areas have discharges and before washing and even though after washing, I still find it very inappropriate to give it away to people, even for others to find it at the garbage bins. That is why I'm still keeping them...

Jackie, how old are you now? And how long have you been wearing undies? My guess is that your wardrobe must be so FULL of your unwanted panties right now. Hell, no! How could I ever use my undies for wiping tables? That's very disgusting. It would be like using it to wipe my own mouth. Think of all the food that has been placed on that table. Oh my goodness! Tables and undies just don't get along. No matter how hard you have washed your undies, it's just never gonna get very clean. That's why now they have invented disposable panties. So you can just thrown them away after wearing them. I think, because I have not tried them. I'll usually wear mine until they are really unwearable, then I'll just dispose them off into the rubbish bin. Girl, if you want to dispose off all your undies, please don't do it all at once. I think it's best to dispose them bit by bit. We don't want people to notice a plastic bag full of undies, okay. It might cause pollution.

Oh, please sisters. Those who feel nothing when they use the undies for public thing like table cloth really want to give some 'free show' to the guests.(^^)

Jackie, I am as surprised as you are. In fact, I don't use my undies for any other thing except to throw them out when they are of no use anymore. I guess those disposal panties are made of paper and I don't think I would be comfortable wearing paper undies.

I think we share the same thinking about using the old undies as table cloth. First, I don't think anyone would allow this to happen but I'm quite surprise that there are some people who believes it's ok to share with "private material" in such a way. LOL Nah, I don't think I will throw all at once, as I they're not disturbing my movement or too much being stored in my room yet. LOL Maybe I will dispose it later when it's time... Me too, I don't wear disposal either. Aren't they made of papers? hehehe

When my unwear become old, torn or frayed I just throw them in the garbage with everything else. They are never thrown away dirty though. I would wash them and then realize why do I still have these they are old or I find a tear so I then throw them away. I never give my old underwear to charity of any kind. I have given alot of clothes to charities but never the underwear, bras, or socks.

I think bras and socks are fine to give away if in good condition. Especially really pretty and/or sexy bras would be appreciated I think?

Haha no I don't use them for mopping the tables or anything and somehow that sounds very wrong to me What i do is throw them in the bin in the toilet and let them go with all the toilet paper garbage and the other toilet garbage. And I don't thinnk donating them is a good idea too. iw ould never donate my bras or underwears. Anyway one interesting share I'd like to share hehe when I was a kid, I stayed in hostel for about a year. Then, we used to go to the terrace, we had this huge yard kinda open space behind our hostel, and we used to throw our old underwear there. We used to have games of whose underwear went the farthest LOL i know not so environmental but hey we were just kids!!

hahaha, Hanum, you're one cute devil to laugh at others like that. LOL Some panties have bio-degradable problems, I think. We should just keep an eye on it on disposal method. ;)

LOL Oh my gosh, I was surprised by this question. Ok Here is what I do... First…I wash them ... then use them for rags if cotton, and I throw them away if they are made of a material that can't be used for cleaning or polishing. Yes the trash can, garbage bin is fine. No one should donate torn or unusable underwear to charity. They have enough work handling useable clothes. he charity.

you still don't sound too sure what to do with them, jacklintan. many years ago at school we were all taught to make a rag doll, and stuffed it with ladies tights. if you gave unwanted undies a good wash, you could use them for stuffing something, like a cushion maybe. though i don't know if i'd mention it to guests. treat them like scraps of material, maybe.

I don't think I can use old G-strings and my undies as rugs or old cloths. Neither to dispose them into bins. Stuffs it into cushion? oh dear....isn't it cushions are made from rubber? Not sure about old cloths like undies...lol

Hi Jacklintan, I just throw them away in the regular trash. I would not use them as a rag and I would never donate them to charity. I don't think anyone would want my old worn out underwear anyway. I really couldn't think of anything to do with them other than throw them in the trash.

I found myself laughing at your post because I remember the old days when my mom would make our old undies as mopping table cloth . There was one time when her office mates came to our house and they saw those undies used to wipe our tables. They really laughed out loud and they said they were able to see and touch the undies of my mom. It was a funny joke for them of course. For now, there is no need for that hehe. I've realized it was kinda embarrassing . I think it wouldn't be a good idea too to share it in the charity. Just throw it out if it is not being used anymore.

used them as rugs for polishing (But before using them as rugs have to wash them first! and I usually use them on the sink or when cleaning figurines (cotton are the best in using as rugs) and then throw it out. No, never give your used panties to charity.

By the time they are old enough to be replaced, they go into the trash. When you hear the phrase ware it out, that's what I do with all of my clothes. I ware them until they're so old they are nothing but scraps of cloth. The older they get, the less likely I'll ware them in public, but I make sure to make use of my old undergarments. Only when they're falling off do I toss them. Now if you're talking about t-shirts, shorts and other articles of clothing... some of those go to the salvation army or other place like that if I accumulate too many clothes. I just don't do the same with my undergarments. No real need too really.
• Malaysia
14 Aug 11
Me too! I don't give away my undergarments. They were onced used on human private areas and I find it abit rude to give away our undergarments. T-shirts, shorts or even dresses, they're fine to be given away, but definately the undies... Am I right?
