After several national polls, it was announced last week that Casey Anthony was the most hated person in America. That isn't a particular stunner, and this isn't about whether anyone thinks she is guilty or not. Obviously, most Americans think she is (although not all as evidenced by some mylotters suport of her).
I was thinking about hated people in other countries. If you live in a different country besides the United States, who would you say is the most hated or disliked person in your country? Normally in America a "celebrity" gets that title. Like last year I think it was Spencer Pratt. I would use the term celebrity very loosely for him.
Amd as for Americans, you surprised Casey Anthony got that title? You disagree?

There are others here in the US that I think fit this title more than Casey Anthony. Yes, people should be upset with this situation and what has transpired, but not to the point like this. I would say that there have been way worse people than her and to say that are Celebrity status. Many times the problem is when it is with someone who has a lot of $$, they are able to buy their way out of it so that often times it is one day overlooked.

Truthfully I think of him too. He was a Celebrity who killed and then got away with it, and still have people thinking he is a Good guy. What gives? There is proof even on tape of abuse.

KrauseHome I disagree. Casey Anthony was the worst kind of mother and IMO she deserve life imprisonment with no chance of parole.

I think it used to be Binladen that was the most hated person in the world and rightfully so. I also hate Casey Anthony and still when I hear her name or read it, as I did with this discussion, I get totally disgusted.
I still can't believe our justice system and how something like that could happen as like you said, everyone knows she guilty. I think one day she will admit to it because she wants and craves fame and what better way to get it then admit to it in a book or movie. She can't be tried again for it, double jeopardy and all. Whatever way she will be back in the media soon, I'm sure. I think she deserves the title of most hated person in America.
But back to your question, I don't think that people really hate celebrities, they just don't like them. Right now the most disliked celebrity for me is Charlie Sheen and to think I used to really like him. I have almost every season of show and now wish I hadn't spent a penny on him.

No not awful, just human nature this girl is as sick and evil as it gets.I wish her the most horrible life imaginable, she took the life of her own precious daughter so why should she be able to enjoy one bit of her existence, she just makes me so ill.

I totally agree she deserves to be the most hated. I am thrilled that she has to come back to Florida and complete probation for a year (thanks Judge Perry).
I am amazed to hear that some myLotters actually support her they must be the same people who support Obama.

You know Ambie, I really feel like an idiot, either that or math was seriously a life influencing class that was not good. I have heard of Cassie off and on over the summer, if I remember correctly she killed her little girl. In fact I had to search her name to find that info, so any down and dirty stuff people who had a life heard about, I never even knew about...
I try to hate no one, it isn't good as we both know. I guess because I don't feel hate towards this woman, I can pray for her, because obviously from your post, she was super bad...

I agree... I don't HATE anyone. But I strongly dislike the decisions this woman made! She waited so long to report her daughter missing. That should be a crime in itself. And from what I understand, because of Cassie Anthony, a law will go into play in many states limiting the amount of time a parent can wait to report an child missing!

Really sweetaprillynn? Do you happen to know what time frame they are considering? I remember I got upset with my 9 y/o over the summer when he took his scooter and went around the block without telling me..I realized about 10 minutes later he wasn't around. Of course he came back, but not after I spend time looking and wondering where he could be..He said he told me, but I was on the computer, so I told him that he must make sure to have eye contact and that I plainly say, "yes you can go around the block" or whatever it is he wanted to do..So he did that for the rest of the summer..

IT goes around. What about Jeffry Damber....cannibal! Or for awhile there...Octomom was extremely unliked! I can see they might not have been 100% able to convict on murder for Anthony, but they sure as God made little green apples, they could have got her on child endangerment, child cruelty, child neglect etc....I mean....what mother waits for 30 days to report their child missing? That alone is just full of endictments! But she got none. Yet some parents have gotten at least 30 days for beating their child! She totally ignores hers and gets nothing? Something pretty stinky in that bunch of little green apples. I don't care if she already served 3 years....Casey deserved more. And the thing is now...a precident has been set.... a really bad precident.

I agree with you. the pieces point directly at her, but I always try to see the other side for the sake that I am not perfect and might have missed something, but I am 99% sure she did it. BUt still...this just says that a mother can kill her child and get away with it as she didn't have to pay for any of it. I just read an article on Yahoo News... a mother in Alaska was giving her 7 yo boy hot sauce as penalty for being bad. He had to hold it in his mouth until he agreed he was wrong and wouldn't do it again. Then he was forced to take an ice cold shower until he agreed not to lie. Now this was shown on Dr Phil as she was trying to get help to "do better", and the law saw it and arrested her for child abuse etc and she is now standing trial for it. What gives??!!!?!

I am an American and I'm not at all surprised that she got that title. Americans tend to think its a fact that she did it but in reality they have no clue what their talking about. I watched most of the court case, as soon as I found out about it I tuned in every second of it, watched Nancy Grace and everything that covered it, and or talked about it. There is absolutely no way to know for sure if she is guilty, there is really 0 evidence to prove it. They can prove its likely she did it because of her behavior, but she could be a sociopath and still didn't kill her kid. I was not sure of anything at all besides that she had mental issues and detachment, but that does not mean that she killed her kid and there really was no evidence that she did. The only thing they really could have fairly done was give her some time for not calling in sooner about Caylee being missing.

I didn't say one way or another. But it's only been fairly recently when we had DNA to convict. That doesn't mean we need it now.
I am always intrigued by people who think she is innocent. The majority think she did it, and I'm always interested in the people who think she didn't. So it's nice to read your response, thank you.

I do not believe that we should hate anyone! I also think that Americans are not being fair in their assessment. We are supposed to believe in the justice system and I know that it fails at times, but I also think that we all know the jury needed more to convict her if she was guilty.

The most hated person for Cuban Americans is Fidel Castro because we know his real face and we lived in communism and experience repression, intimidation and lack of freedom. In regards to Casey everyone with a little bit of common sense would know that she is guilty of either killing the little girl or covering up something. Well, this is what happens when you get a good lawyer. Fidel Castro is also a lawyer ,so he was able to fool the masses and he still continue to fool a lot of idiots around the world.

Hi Amber Sis! I can hardly even speak about this murdering beotch
without getting my blood pressure up! She deserves to be hated and
worse! Spencer Pratt was just a moronic azzhole, but at least he
didn't commit a murder! This woman got away with murdering her
child! I hope that someone somewhere turns on her and does
the same to her. I feel that whatever happens to her she deserves!
She doesn't deserve to be free or to live her life "happily ever
after"! What about Caylee? There is still no justice for her!

And yet there are at least two people in this discussion who think she is innocent. I just can't wrap my head around the possibility she could be innocent.
I don't know what kind of life she is going to lead now, but she may wish she ended up in jail. Which of course is where I think she belongs.

I followed that case very closely for the past few years. I don't hate her but think that she is a psychopath and should be locked up. I believed her to be guilty and the suffering that she put her family through was immense. Her brother became gray almost overnight! Yet they still allegedly lied and loved her and did not desert her. The family was dysfunctional but then most families are.
In my own country there are a few persons whose actions I despise but would not call their names

What surprises me is that people can think she is not guilty. Yet people do. I try to look at it differently, but still can't seem to see any way she could be innocent.
I don't like it when people say hate regarding a person either. I don't hate her, I just strongly dislike her and wish she would be in jail.

If she had been made to take the stand then we would have learnt more. To me the evidence was overwhelming but her defense put on so many side shows that attention was diverted from the main issue. I mean to accuse her brother of being the father of her daughter and her father of molesting her and then the stupid women who said she was the father's mistress. All a load of fluff to protect her

im not the least surprised. most people are pretty mad that she got away with murdering that baby girl and partyed till she was found out. plus hid it so well that nothing could be proven by law. shes evil and spoiled and its pretty apparent.

People are still obsessed with Casey Anthony. I'm not really clear as to why, since she isn't the only person to be found "not guilty" of a crime that she likely committed.
"Not guilty" simply means that the prosecution failed to make its case. When the prosecution fails to convince the jury beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant is guilty of the crime, that is the proper result--regardless of what public opinion is.
I don't like Anthony. Yes, I think she committed the crime. However, the prosecution failed to meet its burden of proof. Thankfully, our justice system holds that one is innocent until proven guilty--not the other way around. Otherwise, a lot more innocent people would be in prison than what are currently there.

I did a little research on the Casey/Caylee Anthony case and I can see why Casey would not be a popular person right now. I don’t know the ins and outs of the case but reading about her partying and getting tattoos while her daughter was missing does make the blood boil regardless if the reports are true or not. She allegedly suffocated her child, placed her in the trunk of her car and eventually dumped the body. It is human nature to feel disgust and rage upon hearing of the acquittal. Donald Jones, a professor at the University Of Miami School Of Law stated, “She will be marked by this trial," he said. "The best thing she could do is change her name and her hair color and move to a different town." If this woman is as guilty as she appears to be she will receive her Karma. Personally I feel sorry for her and that poor little girl.

I'm not one bit surprised Casey is the most hated and i do understand why.She was accused of committing one of the most heinous crimes imaginable and many people, including myself, believe she she is far from innocent and that a grave injustice has been committed.
When someone commits a crime of this magnitude and then proceeds to get away with it add to this her complete lack of a moral conscience or love for her own child it's no wonder she's the most hated and i agree she should be.

considering what she did, i can see why she is the most hated person. i've seen many news reports on what she did. she isn't ready to come clean and tell the truth. i don't even bother with these people.
