Is it better to declare cricket as our national game(India)?

we all know that hockey is our national game but peoples of India like cricket more than hockey,so a question arises in my mind "is it better to declare cricket as national game?"friends what are your thoughts about this ?

well with india doing so bad no they are doing better in hockey then cricket and cricket is the national sport of England so you can't have that

yes you are right,if we see the present situation of team it looks terrible but if we take overall performance of team in past years so what you think about this?

yes india has been doing really will they even won the world cup i am not sure but they are good at hockey but not a lot of people watch that is a shame its my national sports as well I am from Pakistan but like in the uk anyway happy my lotting

people in both India and Pakistan likes cricket more than hockey,so i think we need to change it as they are not doing good in hockey from a long time.

I m from Pakistan..Well Buddy Hockey is also Our National Game.. And it Suits to us.. We both nation should stick to it..

hey nice pic,i love people like you.ya i think we need to stick with hockey but my country is not doing good in hockey thats why i thought might we have to change it but now i realize that we cant change it.

I think Hockey definitely has lost its standing as the national game of India. Cricket definitely is much more popular than Hockey in India as of date. It might be worthwhile declaring Cricket as the national game. Cheers! Ram

ya i also think so as hockey team is not doing good,and also cricket is much popular in our country as compared to hockey. i love cricket.

There are more fans for cricket than Hockey. And Hockey is our National game, but its becoming less interested by the people. But its not much easy and so simple to change it...

ya it is not easy to change it.as amkiller above told me that we cant change it as cricket is already acquired by england as thier national game.
