What are friends now a days?

DO you really have friends in this day in age or do you just have associates that call themselves your friends I mean really you have people that talk about sticking by yourside then they bail on you or being htat they don't know or understand what you are going through they seem to keep their distance from you, What about those friends that do you wrong on purpose but being that they know you will forgive them they still violate you anyway I mean really what about those people are they truly your friends, I know one frien that is always there that will not leave you is jesus, I didn't make it in to church today but thats ok I will get there just trying to get back on track you know. But what do you guys think..

I have a true friend but she got married last 2 years. Under the control of her husband she no longer value our friendship. Another one is when I was a kid and teenager this friend has been through thick and thin with me but our friendship drifted apart when I moved to another city.

Most friends nowadays are friends for what they can gain from you. It is always what is in it for me. As soon as their requirements are met then the friendship all of a sudden ends. The next time you hear from them is when they need something from you. It is really a shame people do not seem to value friendship and long term friendship especially.

Hi. There are true friends and acquaintance friends. Don't waste time with your acquaintance friends rather spend good times with your true friends who are there with you through thick and thin, who are with you not just in good times but in bad times too.

Friends are very hard to find. A friend that will be there unconditionally, tell you what you don't want to hear, and love you all at the same time, one would be lucky to have. I am grateful to say I have a few of these kinds of friends, and they have been in my life for over 20 years now. Don't get me wrong we have had our differences, but at the end of the day, I know they will always be there and that is what a friend does.

Yes I agree with you Jesus is the only friend who will not dessert us. I have experiences with friends, some good and some bad. At my age, I only have a few persons whom I considered as my friends. When a storm in my life happened, I found out that only members of our family are always there for us. They're our true friends and best friends forever in this world. As of now, I don't have true friends aside from my family. Family for me includes my parents, siblings and their spouses and my husband's siblings.
