How do you find insiration?

When it comes to writing, I sometimes suffer a lot from writers block. As much as I loathe using that excuse to keep me from writing, there isn't an awful lot I can do about it. At times it can last up to weeks, no matter which methods I try to get my brain thinking, it just doesn't seem to help.
My main methods are watching movies, listening to music, reading others creative writing etc.. but there are days when nothing works at all. If you have your own ideas that seem to work a lot, share them here! :)

Speaking from personal experiences, you will always lack inspiration if you are not passionate about your writing. When I write about subjects I don't like my brain goes blank. On the other hand, when I write about things I love, I can't put the pen down. If you write because you force yourself to do it, you are going to make yourself hate writing.

True, I sometimes do force myself to try and write but eventually give up because I never like what I'm typing out. As you said, writing about something you're interested in is probably the only way in which you're sure to have plenty of ideas.

I do get inspiration when I'm feeling sad, low, and such. That's one time when I find inspiration comes more easily. However, I have found others ways that I can get inspiration. I try to observe other people's behavior. I read various kinds of books, articles, and such. These are just some of the things that do help me from time to time.

It does seem as though our best ideas come to us when we're feeling kind of low and down over something. Observing other people is an idea I never thought of, that sounds pretty interesting so I may give it a try. I tend to read other people short stories for inspiration, but it doesn't always work.

Hi DracsWolfy,
insiration You really seem to be in the 'writers' block'. lol
It is because of the same problem I too am getting not tracks to put the wheels. I remember William Wordsworth who suffered from the same writer's block at the age of 28. However he gained his flow later.
I usually write poetry and short story Hope in short period I will be the me the poet and writer.

Krajibg,
Thank you so much for pointing out that spelling error! I didn't even notice it haha.
I hope you too are able to get back on track at some point. I also write a lot of poetry and short stories and even when I have ideas to write about, I don't know where to start. Sometimes it depends on my mood :/

I sometimes find I get a lot of poetry out of depressive moods. I do understand your point though, about creating a new and better world to escape the one we are living in :)
