Id like to fall asleep but ive gotta do my work, deadline is coming.
I feel sleepy because I do take care of my newborn baby girl evry night.
She always wakes up in the middle of the night.AARGGhhh, She is awake most of the times.
I gotta stay up and be ready at 7 am but before that i need to bathe my baby girl because my nanny is scared of doing that thing.
I love coffee but since last week I am avoiding it because of becoming acidic.
SO what is the next best thing after coffee...
SUbstitute for coffee, Please.....:(

Oh my it is so hard to stay awake when one is sleepy at work. I have gone to the ladies room and sprinkled some water on my face to try and perk up a bit. Walking outside if possible can help also.
Sometimes I will make a personal call to someone I know that can make me laugh for a minute or two to try and perk up as well.
Sometimes no matter what I have done it is hard to wake up and taking a few deep breaths with determination to stay awake can help. Keep busy for a faster quitting time.

I know it hard to concentrate if you don't have enough sleep at night. You tend to be sleepy during the day and drowsy. Since coffee is not advisable to you, try drinking water instead every now and then. A teacher told us before that whenever he needs to study for upcoming exams he would put a liter of water beside him and not coffee. I have done that too and its effective to me.

I hope you could have a short nap because that's the only way to solve your problem. In our office, we have a pantry where we can have our breaks. If not, maybe chewing a gum could somewhat ease the problem.

if you can't do caffeine then moving around whilst not irritating anyone is a good idea. Depends what your job is - I've done lots of cleaning (part of my job anyway) saving others from doing it. Everybody was grateful for it but really it was only because I needed to stay awake instead of just standing. Go on errands, go to the toilet, offer to make drinks (even if you just have water), go to the stationery cupboard - if not then can you talk to your boss?

I can understand your feelings. When you really feel sleepy at work, I suggest you have a short break. Such as going to the toilet or walk around for a while. It will somewhat relax yourself. As you know, doing the same thing for a long time can be tiring and boring. So you need to have a little change now and then.

You got to take leave if you can. Baby can gives us a hard time, moreover you are working. My advise is take a nap whenever you can.

I always experience this especially after lunch. I always feel sleepy though I have enough of sleep at night. I just don't understand myself. I don't want to drink coffee anymore since my doctor asked me to stop drinking such because when I drink coffee have palpitations which is not good.
Well studies says that when you are sleepy you should drink cold beverages this will awake your nerves so that you'll not be sleepy. hot drinks such as hot chocolates can trigger our feeling of being sleepy. The reason why we are not get sleepy when we drink coffee is because coffee contains ingredients avoid us of being sleepy. I tried it and I found it effective.

should take a nap to unwind.
then try to drink warm drinks, like warm ginger and warm milk.
that drinks is good for your health.
have a nice day.

I love to do this and it works everytime! Simply breathe deeply for 2-3 minutes - slowly and deeply - you can keep your eyes closed. Feel the energy flowing into your body with each breath. Then open your eyes a little wider than normal and continue breathing deeply for a few minutes more. Opening your eyes wider puts you in a state of mental alertness immediately. Also please try out Kapalbhatti - a simple yoga technique that can be done everywhere. I do it when i am driving a long distance and am feeling tired and drowsy. Its amazing! Also get up and walk briskly to the other end of the room, go to the washroom, take a drink of water etc. ! all the best!
