Use olive oil twice a month. Put some of it into your hair, applicate it with a soft massage and keep it in during at least twenty minutes. After, wash your hair as usual. It's natural and helps to take care of your hair. With the time, you will see that it's getting easy to comb it.

Using olive oil on your hair keeping it on long enough converts your hair softly like silk.
Depending on how strong your hair is, maybe you need to use it several times, until you get the result. At the beginning, you can use it once a week until the first three times, than you use it less.
I tried it, too. In my case it helped. Anyway, this treatment is natural and it's not expensive. So you can try it and then you let me know about your results whether it worked or not. You also can ask a hairdresser in your neighbourhood to see what's he/she is thinking about to compar opinions first.

when i had long hair i always had knots in my hair, usually they would form while i was asleep. however, apart from cutting it, i can't offer any other option than the laborious task of untangling them. it might be worth plaiting it at night, or something like that. but thats the best advice i can offer.

My hair used to get knotted a lot when I had long hair. Now I keep my hair between shoulder length and the middle of my back (depending on my mood). My hair is fine and now that I am getting older it is getting thin. I am trying to grow it out so I can cut it. I am also starting to get slightly gray and am trying to decide if I want to dye my hair so I can get rid of the gray.
I would buy a detangler to get rid of the knots.
