If a gas company installs new gas pipe in your property and damage a water pipe, do they have to pay to fix it? The water pipe was broken when the gas company installed new gas pipes. I had to break a lot of cement to find the broken pipe. My cement has lots of cracks because the dirt under it was very moist and with my cars going over, the cement got a bigger crack. Can the gas company pay for all the repairs?

They should be liable. The problem will be proving that they did it and then forcing them to pay for it. You should have taken pictures every step of the way to prove the damage was caused by the gas company.

The same thing happened to my parents and the Gas company had to pay for all the repairs. The Gas company is supposed to make notes if there is any bad damage at the property before they start to cover themselves. They noted that there was no damage and my parents used that in court to get the Gas company to pay for ALL repairs. I would persue it because it will be costly to fix yourself.
