Prakash Jha directed film Arakshan released all over India. But in some states it is banned. From the reports it is nice movie. In my opinion it is propganda of some peoples who want to glorify their politics. Are you agree? Share with me your opinion.

I think there is too much politics involved here. I mean after all it is a movie and where is this freedom of speech we talk about. If you cannot show a film because the minister of the government feels that it speaks against it's policies.
What a real shame!!
Cheers!

Arakshan is a film i think against reservation. And I am also against reservation. So i am a supporter of this film. It shows the behind faces of the cruel politicians of India who plays the game of politics inside the system of education too. I am very eager to watch this movie and I am sure ,i will love it too.

truth is iam in double mind about the copncept, their r some people in india who realy deserve the reservatin but their r some who use this to get into top,the politicians who will support this because some of them are vast in number concentrated in a area so they have to support them to get vote......
i would say for india at present we need reservation but with reservation according to caste they have to equal it with their bpl card
after some time it should be only with bpl card then it would be gud........

Obviously its political propaganda. I'm not sure about Punjab but UP and AP are the most two reserved(I mean there are high reservation percentages) states. Mayavati is most caste-ism leader.
There will be held election next year in UP and Punjab, Politician think this film may spoil their images.
There is a saying Cinema is mirror of society. Politicians are trying to shut up Cinema's mouth, of course they are shuting up society's mouth.
Its shame on us.

Arakshan, no doubt the plot is very nice but the 2nd half is quiet lendy...it just goes on and on. And sometimes i really wonders that only "Politicians" are the only powerful men in our country. Why cant we consider only intelligent when it comes to an admission why there is a need of quota. Because of this quota so much of talent never get the chance to show what they have then how can expect our country to grow. There should be fare base for admissions no bribing and no quotas. I hope this film may throw the light on our education administration.
Thanks Anil for this burning topic.
Cheers !!!

The movie revolves around caste-reservations which a big thing in India. I am not sure if I am a supporter of reservations or against it. But, I know to some people it is very necessary. It has to be admitted that the backward classes of people do not get all the amenities that the other people get. Having said that, it is also true, that many of them get lots of special privileges which is not how a democracy should be. Every body is equal and should be treated equally.
I do not know how much of this the movie addresses and how hard it hits the subject, but it is quite understandable that in a country like India, the political parties will make it a big issue. This is something I hate to be very core and think should be banned, before the movie or the reservations. A movie is for the viewing of the common man and everybody should be entitled to it. No one can take away that right.
