Salt isn't that important to use in cooking. You would be better off avoiding it altogether, according to many sources. Salt - either ordinary conventional table salt or even sea salt, can't be used properly by our bodies, so it just goes into clogging up our arteries eventually. Hopefully this never happens to you nor anyone you know.
There are a variety of home-made salt substitutes available online, but some of the ingredients have an effect that may even be worse than salt itself. I'm not sure what the situation is where you are, but you might like to try borrowing some salt from a neighbour or friend if you are expected to use it in your cooking?

Indeed there is enough salt in our food without adding any extra. It's just a question of getting used to the taste of things, which is actually better, when we don't add any extra.

I'd go with soy sauce. Although salt content is high in soy sauce, I guess it's bit more flavorful. I use a lot of pepper on my eggs and hardly any salt.

It depends on the food. You can use lemon and pepper on chicken and fish with no salt at all and it's very good. Beef or other red meat tastes good with pepper and other spices like oregano and garlic. Use strong tasting spices but don't overdo it, for both meat and vegetables, sauces and so on.

I don't buy salt (or sugar) very often at all. I don't have a habit of adding it when I am cooking. I have been avoiding it (and added sugar) for many years now and am happier with the real taste of everything that I eat rather than the salty taste.
If you forget to buy salt then maybe it would be an opportunity for you too to try the taste of food without it?

Yes, salt is too important to our cooking to improve or to get the desired taste for our dishes.Soy and fish sauce are good alternatives in case you run out of salt. Remember too that anything that is much is not also good.Happy cooking my friend.

I generally don't use it. I just a chicken/vegetable/beef bouillon cube to the food.
