Is it better making mistakes trying to make a very unique idea come to life?
Or would you rather have mediocre ideas that you can execute perfectly?

Both can be good in their own time. I would say that it could be that when you have a unique idea, people won't buy it and you will be branded as eccentric or weird. hehe
When you have a mediocre idea, however you could be one of the "copycats" because your idea could be tweeked from someone else's original idea. :D
