reece's peanut butter cups..

can i just say? you americans are lucky, lucky people!
i first stumbled across reece's peanut butter cups about 5 years ago, and they were brand new and just out in the uk.. no one had ever heard of them before, and being a massive peanut butter fan i was quick to jump on the band wagon.
slowly after that i discovered reece's pieces, and then nutrageous bars! .. and i am inlove! not many places sell them, so when i find them, i make sure i buy a few! which i did on saturday afternoon..
so i'm sitting here at my desk, eating one of the 3 little cups in a packet, and i decided to look reece's up online. and i am NOT amused! not only is there GIANT CUPS! and mini cups! there are white cups? and dark cups? and they have have a fast break, crispy crunchy and a whipps? which is like a reece's peanut butter version of what? a mars bar, snickers, and a milky way?
we are seriously loosing out here.. however every american i've ever spoken to has said that they may have more unusual chocolate/candy bars, but our actual chocolate tastes nicer. the creamy milk coca taste of our chocolate is nicer than what they have in america, and i do agree with that.
but i would give up our creamy quarter past cream dairy chocolate, for those giant peanut butter cups any day! it was bad enough you had peanut oreos and we've only just got double stuffed over here, but now this.
and don't even get me started on hershey's cookies and cream bars! thats a whole different discussion! and jolly ranchers?? we had those for years and they disappeared!! not amused!!

Aren't they called Reese's! Not a a Reese's fan but my son is! My son loves all the chocolates in the world. The only chocolate that i really like is Twix and Ferrero Rocher!
Our local brands of chocolates here are imitations of the chocolates from America. They're not as sweet so i like them more than the American chocolates.

Ignore the spelling, it's the taste that matters not how it is spelled.

That's funny. We do have a big variety of candy here and Reese's Pieces are favorites with a lot of people. I don't suppose you can find Almond Joy over there? It's almonds in a creamy coconut base dipped in dark chocolate. And Mr Goodbar is my favorite, but it's kind of hard to find even here. It's peanuts in milk chocolate, but tastes a little different from other peanuts in milk chocolate.
I'm not really that much into candy, but I'm glad we have a variety since everyone seems to have different tastes. One thing you've got us beat on, though, Nestle's chocolate. That has a unique flavor that I used to love... but I can't find it here any more.

Hi, chicksdigscars. I am very sorry that it is like this with you all in the UK. Honestly, I had no idea that you all was without certain candies that mostly the United States has. I would love to taste your creamy milk chocolate candies, I am sure that they are very yummy. I hope that someday the same candies we have here, you all can have in the UK as well. In the meantime, if you choose to, you can just order the American candy of your choice online or via postal mail. I hope that this issue changes for you all very soon!

Yes there are alot of different types of reese's! I love them all! If I want a candy bar I go for a reese's peanut butter cup! Anything with peanut butter and chocalate mixed together I love it! Of course there aren't many health candy cars but seems like nothing is health nowadays! Reese's peanut butter cups are made by the Hershey company. The Hershsy company is located in Hershey,Pennsylvanna. When a person goes there all you smell is chocolate form the chocalate factories!

hm I have never heard of it. Maybe because I'm in UK. But I'm interested with peanut butter. Last time my partner accidentally bought it ( instead of chocolate spread) and I have no idea how to eat it. It's not sweet so what I suppose to do with that? However I like chocolate bars but not from Cadberry. My partner is chocoholic so we have always something in the kitchen.

In some shops you can buy Wedell cocolate with strawberry or advocate filling. That is really great. Also I like Thorthon's chocolate. The best is with chilli. I have problem with peanut butter because it's not sweet. Maybe you will laugh but as I'm peanut butter ignorant I put some on bread and also put some jam on the top. It was a little bit better than peanut butter alone.

Yes we americans are really lucky.
Most of the population is obese. we take most of what we have for granted. and the things that we eat are really not good for us. mostly thisis due to our own poor choices. Very few people in this country excercise only about 12%. and We throw away enough food to feed most of the 3rd world.
Yes we americans are very lucky.

Peanut Butter Snickers is my favorite peanut butter snack. It is the only snack that cures my cravings for peanut butter. I only eat peanut butter cups during Easter because they make them in the shapes of eggs. I think the cups taste better in that shape. You get more peanut butter because they are bigger.

haha very cool, i never thought of that.. if they were an egg instead of a cup they would be bigger. peanut butter snickers are good. they don't make them over here all year round, they only bring them out as limited edition sometimes :(

I love chocolates with the same passion as you have for them. I bought my Hersheys from the mall's grocery section but had the big blast when I went on vacation and bought more. The Selecta brand of ice cream here in the Philippines have introduce their Reese peanut butter ice cream hope you have those there in your place since I know this ice cream brand is a local flavor. That solves my small portions of those lovable and tasty chocolates. I love Sneakers too as well as Tofiluk which I understand came from the Middle East which by the way taste like KitKat.

Seriously, as soon as I can find out how much it costs to ship to you I will send you some of our American goodness. It is a real shame all the stuff we take for granted you in the UK don't have or have a hard time getting! I love Reece cups and peices! Other countries wonder why Americans are so fat. Maybe because we have a million and one varieties of candy!

I love peanut butter cups! In fact, I happen to be eating some right now! I think they are my favorite chocolate candy! Although I've never had the dark or white chocolate varieties.
I've had the Reese's pieces, but I don't care for those.
