The school year is almost beginning, and I am wondering, how can I help my son to improve in the school? Does somebody have the answer?

As I'm quite young myself I will try to relate to him... Going to school in another language isn't easy, but it's managable...
First of all, it's nice to have a good 'study enviroment'. A place quite enough to work. Boys that age aren't so fond of studying and will do everything to avoid it.. I recommend making an agreement with him.. Let's say he studies 1 hour after returning from school and than he can do what he wants to.
Also, don't punish for bad grades, reward him for good grades, that will motivate him. You don't even have to pay for a reward, it's always nice to hear from your parents that you did a good job and that they're happy knowing you're doing well, etc.
I hope it helps a bit, it's all standard information, nothing professional or anything.

Great response, thank you very much, and I will write down the agreement and paste in his bedroom, because is good clear rules since the beginning, he begins his classes on Tuesday 23rd, he is excited and happy because he doesn't have friends in this country, we just came from DR but now he feels that finally he will have friends, thanks my lotter friend.
