In the school district that I work for, you receive a form when you register your child(ren) in the school district. You will fill out basic information and this form will determine if you are eligible to receive free or reduced school lunches. If you have questions, don't hesitate to call the school your child(ren) will be enrolled in.

If you are in the united states then you will receive a form to fill out pertaining to income which if your income qualifies your son will receive free lunch or reduced lunches. Your child should receive the form the first week of school if not the first day. If you still want to make sure you can always contact the school itself and get the information you need.
