A pleasant day fellow mylotters,
Now a days, almost all public busses here at our end, especially the air conditioned ones has a video on board while travelling. Wherein, they play the past movies which has been already shown long time ago. Some of them plays a sound video of long time group bands and singers. For this reason, you will not get bored easily if you are stock on traffic. Thus, this innovation from bus operators are really helpful to ease the boredom. But what if the music they are playing is too loud and the sound system inside the bus sounds like a tin can, just like the bus I have rided. It is indeed irritating.

hi remy!
earplugs or even headphones will be a good idea to block out the not just the loud volume of the sound but also the noise when taking the commute on buses.
btw, welcome to mylot!
you'll surely enjoy your stay here!
cheers!!!

Here the only Video system that they have inside the Buses that I ride is Video security. Even the trains here have only video for security. It would be nice if there was a way to watch videos or something especially if you get stuck in traffic. But at the same time, I have heard some of them now have WIFI so maybe they figure that is good enough.

hi aira
i understand what you are saying. i take a bus as part of my daily commute. i take it to and from work and spend an average on the minimum at least two hours inside a bus and that is just for one way only. so two way, it is four hours. having said that, i really appreciate the fact that buses play videos on board. the videos are not of the best quality and the movies like what you said are either b-movies, very old movies, or those low budget straight to video movies. lol!
anyway, if the movie is interesting enough, i do try to watch it. if it is not, then i just take the time to get more sleep. i've already perfected my routine in the bus if i do decide to sleep. i wait for the bus conductor to get my fare and once i've paid for it, i settle comfortably in my chair and then doze off. the loud volume may pose some challenges but i've managed to get additional sleep with no problem. i read in the post above that you may opt to bring headphones or even a ear phones to block out the noise. i think that's a good idea. you might want to try that. even if you won't sleep in the bus, at least, you won;t be disturbed by the loud noise or the sub par sound quality.
have a happy trip!!!
gotta love buses!
lol!

It is better to complain to the bus company because it will be useless if you will direct your complain to the driver. There are times as well when all the play are violent movies, they should be aware that there are kids riding the bus also. This should be regularly checked by the bus operators and it doesn't take much common sense to be aware about this.
