Judge Perry has decided that Casey Anthony has to do one year of probation for another case where she wrote checks out using a friends checkbook. She pleaded guilty to this crime. The judge at that time stated that once released from jail regardless if she was found guilty or innocent of killing her daughter she would serve that one year of probation once released. Her lawyers are trying to say she did her probation behind bars while waiting for her murder trial. Excuse me, isn't probation always dealt with after you are released from jail/prison. You can't do probation while in jail, give me a break! She needs to have a job, drug testing, live at a certain address, and report to her Parole Office at least once a month, for that one year. There are stipulations that need to be conducted while on probation. Non of which can be done behind bars. So I don't understand what her lawyers were thinkings. I'm glad that she needs to report to Orlando by August 26, to be serving her one year of probation. What are your thoughts or comments on this case?

Typically people arrested for violating their probation serve the rest of the probation period in jail. People on probation do NOT always have the same terms of probation, as you mentioned, and report to probation officers, not parole officers... Although 9/10 of the time, those who are on probation are the things that you've mentioned.
People on probation are sometimes allowed to move at will within a certain city, state, or region as long as they make the probation officer immediately aware of the changes.
I think that perhaps the judge, silently, had other things in mind for Miss Anthony when he ordered her back to Florida... like maybe the public would take actions into their own hands. Of course, even if that WERE on his mind, he certainly wouldn't be saying so.. just MHO.

I stated in my discussion what was said in the court by a person in charge of the probation system in Orlando, Florida. These would be her terms and she would need to abide by them in the State of Florida. It was stated she is not special and should be treated just like any other criminal doing probation. The first judge who presided over the check fraud case said she would serve her probation after she was released from jail. Thank you for your comment!

Often if you violate the terms of probation then you are ordered back to jail and all the time you have spent on probation can be nullified, putting you back under the full sentence. I do not think it is too much to ask that she spend at least one year demonstrating that she can be a law abiding citizen of the state of Florida.

Yuk, Casey Anthony makes me want to throw up. She has gotten away with enough. Her lawyers should just suck it up that she has to serve her probation outside of jail. She is nothing special and does not deserve to be excused from serving her probation outside of jail.

You and I are definitely not the only ones who feel this way about her. She is now the #1 hated person in America, and it's not because she thinks she's cute. I know for darn sure I will not be wasting a PENNY on that book. Not only is she a baby killer, but she is a money hungry [you fill in the explecitive word]. But I do believe in karma and what goes around, comes around and I hope it does more than just slap her in the face. Sorry, I'm still bitter about this whole case.

I'm with you about the karma, and she will get hers eventually. I just hope to see it in my lifetime. We could only hope that she screws up her probation and ends up back in jail.

I feel exactly how you do about her. Now I heard today she signed a deal to write a book and will get an advance of a 6 figure payment for it. So that says you can kill your baby, get away with murder and then make alot of money. I'm sick over this and I hope to God no one buys her book once its published.

Personally I still think there are a lot of unknowns in this situation, and wondering if we will ever know, just like other famous cases out there. I am glad that she is having to take care of this situation, and wish it could have been more time than this. Overall justice probably will never be served like it should, but I guess overall there is nothing more most could ever do.

She committed a crime for which she admitted to it, therefore, having to do probation seems like part of the punishment for her bad deed. She is not safe anywhere and well, if she were worried about anything she would not have committed it.
I would hope she is to be treated as any other criminal as Casey or not Casey she is guilty of Check Fraud. Like like any other person when they do the crime time to pay for it.

I agree she is not special, she is just like any other criminal. She needs to serve the probation outside of a jail like everyone else does.

Well, it appears that she simply got away with murdering her little girl. I find this whole case to be disgusting... I mean, who else could have done it. She is seen in all of these photos partying the night away with various men and women with no thoughts on where her child is? he knew where she was and she lied the entire time police were looking for this young child.
She should be ashamed of herself and so should her parents, here is yet another case that will go unsolved because they do not want to convict the mother.

This is one case that I followed from day one when Caylee went missing, and for sure I knew the mother did it. However, I don't understan how 12 people (jurors) could find her not guilty of the murder of this precious child. Now she will make alot of money and go on like nothing ever happened and who cares about Caylee. It seems we the public and the grandparents are the only ones who care about Caylee. We shall see what a year of probation will do to her in Orlando, Florida.

I do not believe that much will happen to her over the course of a year on probation, she deserves to be serving life or worse in prison. I cannot believe that they found her innocent either, what a saddening thing. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall while the jury deliberated... what were they thinking?

Some probation is even stricter than that, and you know, she deserves every bit of the restriction she is getting. She needs to prove herself to be a contributing part of society not someone getting a free ride on the coat tail of her notoriety.

I think serving her probation outside a jail cell is very dangerous for this woman. Even though so many of us think she is guilty of killing her daughter, it's unconscionable to expose her to the public at this point because there are enough nuts out there to almost insure it would be a murder sentence.
Think about it--if she were to serve probation outside of a jail cell, get a job, report to a parole officer and live on her own, etc., how long do you think it would be before she was injured or killed? What about the person that does that to her, they have to live with that the rest of their life, as does their family, and probably go to prison. Just one more victim of Casey Anthony.
There are too many variables in this to ensure her safety and I think if she serves probation she should do in from a jail cell.

I personally think what happened to her daughter should be done to her starting w/the duct tape over her mouth.

Oh I have said the same thing in the past. An eye for an eye. See what it feels to be helpless and have duct tape put over her mouth and nose. Then stuffed in a garbage bad and buried.

That is right, she needs to serve her time just like any other criminal would. She is a criminal who stole checks she pleaded guilty now she needs to do the one year probation in the state that she was arrested. Thank you for your comment!
