i love 300 i read somewhere that the story is the movie is based on true events. is it true?

Yes, I read it in the Bible once- and it really was 300 men, quite a good story- i hope they make more movies that are based on real stories.

Yes, the movie is based on the Battle of Thermopylae, which was a war between Greece and Persia back in 480 BC :)

It is actually a movie based on the Graphic Novel that is based on the original movie 300 Spartans. That original movie is based on true events as much as any other movie that is based on true events. They take liberties with the property to add in excitement of course but the main point is true.
