Greetings everybody, I am planning on buying a new cell phone (not a smart phone) and want some advice about rugged phones (shock proof, water proof, dust proof, etc).
I break my cell phone quite a lot and thought that this type of phone should suite me ;-) Has anyone bought these cell phones, are they really that durable??? which one should I consider the best?????????????????????
your help would be appreciated!!!!!

I only know one phone that actually claims to be rugged. So if you're looking for an almost indistructable phone you probably won't find one. However, pretty much any flip phone is pretty indistructable. Not waterproof mind you (no phone can truely be that) but they should take a lot of physical abuse. Of course you can buy phone covers and cases which help better protect your phone from the elements. Even though my motorola Defey is supposed to be indestructable, I still own a horotozontial holster case to better keep it in place and on me when I'm out and about. Obviously when at home, it doesn't matter. So consider those as options to protect your phone from dust, water etc.

Yeah, I considered the MOTOROLA DEFY, but as I said, i need a cell phone, not a smart phone!!!
I once saw an add of samsung marine which was claimed to be Dust, Water and shock proof, but, I really wanted to know if anyone's used it??? It seemed like a nice choice.....
Thank you for your response! :)

One of the first cell phones that both me and my 8 year old daughter had was a yellow phone with black trim.I was very durable,it went thru an 8 year olds drops.I was told at the store and by some people I knew that a lot of construction workers owned them too.
It was from Nextel that is now owned by Sprint.
