That's a huge number!

Since i started mylotting for almost a year now, i have never counted nor have i been conscious of how many posts i did in a day or if i have earned enough already. Earning was never a consideration for me. My discussions were never monetarily motivated but would just pop up out of the blue from my beautiful brain. Only when i feel that creativity do i feel the need to start a discussion here.
Two days ago i thought to myself if i could possibly post 10 discussions daily but i realized that if i do that i would become a mylot slave and i might not enjoy it anymore because i would be pressuring myself on that quota. And why should i need to do that when I'm not here for the money?
I thought why not take it as a challenge? But why would i challenge myself? Now you might think i'm crazy for arguing with my own self! That's why i'm putting it into writing here so i would sound less crazy.
Has mylot made me crazy?

Call me crazy and or enjoyaholic but I love participating here. Though I do not start many discussions, I do participate in quite a lot of them when I am here. lol
Yes I am with you on not forcing yourself as then it will become a chore and not fun.

Oh yes you do obviously! That's why when you were gone your absence was felt by many. That's how visible you are here on mylot and of course important too!

Actually i shouldn't blame mylot for my insanity. I've long gone mad before even joining mylot! I though mylot has calmed me down and it's only when i'm having those lucid intervals that i'm here, but i think i'm wrong. Mylot has made me crazier!

Toni, your crazy thoughts can make us crazy ......... Nonetheless, whatever you have stated is not crazy it is very logical. You see we should not tax ourselves for starting or responding to a certain number of posts in a day. This will put pressure on us and I believe this will take away the 'quality'. When we go for quantity, quality suffers, this is what I believe. You should do mylotting as and when you feel like, without putting any limit to number of posts. I do the same and I do not participate for the sake of earning. Earning is secondary to me.

You see your spontaneity becomes your plus point and when you come out with a discussion it gives a kind of satisfaction to you that you have shared your thoughts with others and others are there to comment on that.
It is my pleasure to participate in your discussions and I always enjoy being there because I can relate to most of the posts.

True. That's why when i'm inspired to express anything at all i don't suppress it as well. I just write whatever i feel. And if you've noticed i can be very silent at times, not posting anything at all in a day or two or three!
Thanks for being here all the time Dee!

you don't have to be bothered about it. and if that is a crazy thing to post more discussions in a day, you are not the only one who is crazy or crazy about mylot. just a bit of a suggestion, you post a topic only when you can maintain it alive. what i mean is, you post and comment to each responses you will get. it will be a difficult task to comment on every responses and it will be more difficult to do the task if you have more discussions posted. one good discussion at a time will be better than too many but will push you to your limits.

that's the price you have to pay for having too many thoughts in your mind and sharing them through your numerous discussions daily.

I used to rush things here in mylot when I was new. I just post and post, even post on two, three year old discussions . I used to reach cash out every month or two and then the burn out set in. Now, the earnings no longer matter as much although I wish I could earn more. There was a time that I earned a dollar in a day so you can just imagine the number of posts I have to make making sure that it contains enough content to get that much. But it's no longer the case anymore since the last payout I got was in November of last year.

One of the things that I don't like doing here is to start my own discussions, not unless there's really a need for me to. Starting my own discussion is like an added burden for me since I'm not the type that can keep up with the posters. Starting your own discussion would mean you are expected to respond to each post as a matter of courtesy, what if you have a hundred responses? Although I have not received that many responses yet but if it happens then that to me is a nightmare since I can hardly keep up with just a few. Unlike posting to someone else's discussion, you only focus on one thread and if you're playful enough then you can drop some lines in other responses. So good luck to you on your first ten discussions and keep them coming.

When it comes to responding to discussions i could go on and on in a day as long as they are interesting. But to make my own ten discussions every single day would be too much!
But i'm gonna take that challenge without pressure and see if i could post ten discussions everyday. SEe how far i could go.

haha no i don't think mylot has made you crazy! at all.. to be honest i was getting a little bored with mylot, and i was sort of skimming by discussions and not really paying any attention to them, so i wasn't even really responding to any, at all.. and i wasn't posting discussions either.
so i didn't go on mylot all weekend, and had barely been on it on thursday and friday.. so when i logged onto my emails on monday, i was shocked. i had like 243 emails!! and nearly all were from mylotting! all my friends had started discussions!! people had responded to old ones of mine, people had commented on comments i'd left to them etc.. but nearly all were discussions my friends had started! so i sat and thought.. god, i'll never be able to reply to all these, i can't be bothered, but i dont want to just delete them all either.. so then i set myself a challange, i decided to respond to every single one, properly! none of this one sentence stuff, actually read it, actually respond. so i sat down, and responded to every discussion, and every comment that i'd been emailed, and i watched the number beside my name go from 4 hundred and something to now 6 hundred. and i was very pleased with myself! .. then the next day when i looked in and i saw how much money i'd made, i couldn't believe it.
it's really gave me a little push, and i'm back on track again after my challange to myself!! so go for it :)

Now i like being challenged and a little competition too. Your response have made me think and wonder if i really can do it without being too hard on myself. Responding won't be a problem. It's gonna come as a breeze and with good discussions started by friends i could go over ten but to start my own ten discussions...hmmm.
I think i just made a deal with myself. I need to jog for now and when i come back have dinner and think it over. See you around lovely chick!

When it comes to responding to one, i got no problems with that. I could go up to 20 but for starting ten discussions daily, hmm that would really be a great challenge!

i think you could do it.. or make a bargain with yourself! if you can't do ten decent discussions, then you have to respond to every single friend started discussion, even if it doesn't interest you haha! thats a good way to challange yourself! :)

Possibly it has made you crazy. No I am only joking, your just trying to manage your time there's nothing crazy about that i think that 10 discussions is a great goal and then responses are based on interest and you can keep up with all the responses to your discussion that you wish to reply back to. I don't think 10 is that many that you will be becoming a slave to mylot. I can never think of discussion while i am on mylot i think about them when i'm not on the computer and think that would be a great mylot discussion then when I log into mylot it's so far from my mind after reading everyone else's discussion i often don't remember to post it.

When i'm inspired and feel creative ten won't be that huge of a number. But ten discussions everyday??? I don't think i could be that inspired or creative on a daily basis and i don't want to push myself too hard to have that number of discussion started everyday.
Responses? No problem but ten discussions on a daily basis is just too much for me.

So far i have responded to each and every single respondents so far unless it was a nonsense one that i find not worthy of my time at all.

Being aware of the time line makes you rush everything and just post and post? I'm aware of the time line as well but i never felt the rush to do things here on mylot.

Good for you ,toniganzon. One of my friends on mylot doesn't think so . You can see that from one of his discussion ,in which he blames himself for that he didn't log in mylot and post enough discussion . I feel sorry for him . Even though mylot would offer you some money as long as you start certain amount of discussions, i don't advocate people to put the cart before the horse. Anyway , money is not supposed to be our motivation on mylot . You are definitely normal ,my friend. Keep your principle !

Money has never been my motivation for being here in mylot. I don't consider mylot as an income generating machine. I'm not really into making money online. So yeah i'll be posting only when i feel like it. Thanks.

I feel like I'm in the same situation as you. When I first joined I didn't think anything about the amount of posts I did or my ranking, I did think a little bit about the amount of money I was going to make and creating discussions. I do keep wanting to out do myself and make more and become more active on here. I don't want to create a discussion just for the sake of it, but there are so many things I want to start a discussion about that I've had on my mind. I think its a good thing and your not crazy at all, I think most people have that in mind.

I'm not crazy indeed but i don't really want to make discussions and put a quota on myself. With regards to the number of posts it's ok. Ten is not a problem but to start 10 discussions every single day would drive me crazy, not unless i'm in the mood or have something to talk about.

It doesn't sound crazy toni, I totally understand how you feel,.In my part I'm a bit conscious on ow many responds I made for the day and try to look at my earnings if how was it, if I am doing well. Good for you not to care about the earnings you git lots of penny out there.
I care about the earnings here, but I love mylot, how it helped my grammar and improve my typing skills. I think it's enough!

I'm glad that you see mylot more than just a money making site! Soon you won't be too conscious of how much you are earning. I can't remember the last time i opened "my earnings" tab. Wonder how i made this day. I think i made a lot. Let me check on that later when the i've reached the time line!
