Has anyone of you studied online?

Nowadays while surfing I often see these adverts like study online with all support and guidance from xyz University.I have studied through distance learning program in the past and that helps specially in the country like India where everyone cant get the admission in the stream or subjects s/he wants to study.But learning online!! I mean everything is in the air!I agree that its easy to find study materials now because we have Google but I am still not feeling comfortable to choose this mode of education.I think it is just for those who want only degree and certificates.
Has anyone of you studied online? if yes then how did you manage everything related to studies and how did you appear in exams/tests?

I have heard it's harder to study online. At my school there was a group of students who went on an exchange trip to Europe.. While they were gone they were still expected to continue their studies online, and still had to write the same exam as everyone else when they came back (the day before the exam). They had online webcam sessions with a teacher, but from what I heard most of them struggled with our exam..

A classroom learning experience cant be compared with online mode of teaching I think.In your school it was your school's admins efforts to help those student who couldnt attend the class because of that tour...I am talking about fully online education programs that we see while surfing at least in my area I see many adverts like that.

Yes, I have done so and it works really well. There is an option to choose a group or individual study. Recently I got the certificate too and no doubt I would say that site is very informative and offers many a courses.

I have actually. I was working at the same time, and wanted to study a subject they weren't teaching at the university where I was living. So I did it online instead! It was great, I really liked it. But if I am mistaken, there are some scams related to online learning out there too. So if you do decide to do it, make sure the course is legit.
I am a good student, so I got good results when studying online too. It really wasn't harder for me than regular university, but it does require self discipline, so I guess it is not for everyone.
