Are You Behind Here Too?

Hi Tina! Being only a little over a year old here, I don't have too old of unresolved discussions but if I did and noticed some responses were not commented to and I had something I could add to it I would. It is of course what is comfortable for each discussion starter that is. For some reason for me though, commenting back acknowledges to the responder that I read the response.

giving best responses? what's that? I'm behind WITHOUT giving best responses!

I'm not really behind here. I just got here today though and have some discussions to respond to. I try my best to stay caught up on what I can reply to.

I am still playing catching up with my old discussions one by one at a time. Especially those very old discussions which is around 3 years old. Even the recent discussions, i am trying to put in more time to resolve and give the Best Response to those that deserve it. I think by comment back and give the Best Response to it, then only the discussion is completed. Although it is a hard work but i really enjoy reading them and give my comment back as well.

I would do both, and spend some extra time here on mylot to make some extra money, as much as I can. That is the fun of it. If you are willing to make extra responses, or make extra discussions, you will make extra money from here. I would definitely trying to make as much as I can from here.

Krausehome: Hello Madam: You have raised a very relevant questions. My suggestion will be you post your comments and then select the best response that occurs to you. In fact it is advisable to select best response say within 10 or 15 days. But such a prescription is not there and that makes me also to keep them pending. However selecting best responses then and there will encourage people to post their responses in our future discussions. I would have posted 2K+ responses and am surprised to find that only 40+ out of them has been selected as best response. I am not demanding mine should be selected as the best response. This at the same time indicates many discussions have not been resolved. I am happy you have decided to resolve atleast some your discussions.

I am going to be behind in everything for a while, since hubby accidentally poured a bowl of soup intoy laptop! ;(

Hi Tina, due to insufficient of time to take care of my own discussion I never like to write new discussion and spend my limited spare time responding to topics which I have interest to share with. I found lots of my responded discussions yet haven't received any comments that I long to read. I wonder and confuse as well the reason the writers have time to start new discussions continuously every now and then but sadly that they are not willing to comment back. May be they are too busy and find it's time consuming task to comment. Realizing their difficulty and I don't want to make them feeling tension to receive another more reply I usually would shift to others who have considerable time to take care of their posts. We need ample time and patience to pick best response especially those that lots of responses are available. I rarely write discussion so there isn't any unresolved discussion left except the one I have started not long ago I had so many unresolved discussion before and I got them resolved finally by coping them two or three or more once a week gradually, depending on the free time I could spend here then. How relaxing and at ease the moment the last piece of task was accomplished lastly I still will take care of my old discussion even though it's no longer fresh Have a nice day and happy posting!

I try not to worry about it. I know I have a lot of catching up to do but they'll have to wait. I just want to enjoy as much as I can here.

hi tina oh yes I am behind just answering part of the thousand some friends I have in my mylot list but also I am behind in commenting back on all the responses I have got and am working hard trying to catch up. I did get backtracked for 20 days when I crashed on my face broke my nose and twisted my right knee then I had only been here two days when my roomie came down with contagious shingles. so I was forced to go to a different room for 13 days more without use of my computer too. so now i am still playing catch up.I also found some old discussions of mine have had some recent responses so must check those too. I know you have had problems with that wound not healing and that's no fun. I am diabetic too and now that bumpy stuff has come back on my leg but now I know the name of the cream that cured it before so can take that to my primary care doctor. I sure hope we both get all caught up soon too.

I long ago resigned myself to answer only those discussions that I have time for among those that I have something to add. That eliminates the stress I might otherwise feel in times like now where I not only have my tomatoes ripening at record speed but I've also been suffering pretty badly with a staph infection for a week and a half now. Those two things alone make it so I have very little time to respond to any discussions. It's only when I have the energy to be awake yet not enough to do anything strenuous that I've had time to do any myLotting. I know that my friends understand that I cannot respond to every single discussion that I get in my notifications. There are just too many. Also, there are many that I have absolutely no knowledge of so I would have nothing to say. I understand that my friends have real lives and that some times are busier than others.

Well I don't wanna be in that same problem and that's exactly the reason I am not creating new discussion. I'm afraid I don't have enough time to respond back. At any rate the only way you can solve your problem is to concentrate first with your discussions so that you can resolve them all and better yet if you could respond back to all who gave comments.

Hi KrauseHome, I know I am way behind in some of discussions and I feel sorry for that. It seems that I have disappointed some who have left comments and waited for a response which did not come. I feel that I should go back and reply to everyone but I have not gotten around to doing it since I'm always caught up in commenting on new topics with the limited time I have now on the web. I hope to eventually clear all of them as I see them as unfinished business, always hanging in my mind. What do you think?

Hello Tina! You're a very busy woman with a lot of things to attend to like going to the hospitals, dealing with your boss and many things. I do understand why you're falling behind in responding to discussions but i do appreciate that you still find the time to do so. I am away from mylot only during the weekends so my mylot folder in my email would pile up but every Monday i find the time to check all of them. Respond to friends' discussions, comments to those who responded to mine and when all's done i try to start a discussion.

I think that we have all felt this way more than just a time or too. The better your discussions are and the more responses that begin to pile up does at times feel overwhelming. Personally I am like you as well always compelled to respond and answer back so I know the feeling all to well. Just don't let it stress you do what you can do and accomplish what you can accomplish but most impotantly have fun doing it don't make it a chore it's too much fun to make it feel as such!

I'm kind of smiling as I'm answering this because this discussion was posted (at least what it says on my page) three weeks ago. I AM behind! But I also try to stay up to date. I was without my computer for a while because it had a virus. So I'm playing catch up. I'm making progress, but I missed this discussion until now.

I am sooooo behind. lol I am trying to keep up with reading discussions, but I can't catch up with commenting. I have been reading yours though, and I am glad that you have gotten your situation with your boss at least to the point where he can't bully you any more.

Every so often when I have a little extra time, I do go through old responses. Today is one of those times. I find that a lot of the time, I am behind on everything else so I don't have time to get in here as often as I once did. After I received a link yesterday about things going on in NY, I decided it was time to start a new discussion and so I decided after responding to the comments that I should check some of my older discussions. I might go in later and look at best responses, but that doesn't pay so I do it when everything else is caught up. Have a great weekend!!!

best that works for me best that i know is to respond back to discussions before choosing the best response. as long as time permits me to, i do this as for me this is best not only to me but to both of us, me and the respondent.

I do tend to be more behind on here than I used to be because of all the things that have been going on in my life lately. With that said, I do try to spend as much time as possible on here so that I don't get too far behind. I guess that is one of the benefits of being a stay at home mother, I can try to at least make some time when it is possible.
