my wife had started to plant veggies a year ago. but she stop for all the plants had died. maybe because of too much heat or maybe the pot was too small. she started planting again last april. tomatoes, ocra, bitter gourd, peas. after 2 months she saw the progress and was very happy and inspired. i can see she is happy and our son was very interested as well. he helps mom water the plants. the other day she harvested the first ocra and i never thought it will be looking like that. it was a very good looking ocra. har har har. i will upload the picture for you to see. wife was very happy. i am too there is something in the heart that makes you happy when you see the plant bear some fruits that you can actually eat.

Hi!!!!
I love okras! I want to plant vegetables in our backyard, too but I guess I'm just too lazy to do it. I have okra seeds before which were given to me by my friend but I forgot all about it until I finally remembered it but the seeds were all expired. I was so disappointed with the waste. I could have planted a lot with it. I love okras especially steamed.
I can imagine your garden. It's probably really inspiring to see the vegetables growing nicely. It would be fun to harvest them when the time comes.

i dont love ocras, but once she put it in the sinigang there is nothing i can do har har har. but i am happy that the soup has the vitamins and minerals that ocra can give without me eating it. my wife loves to plant but the first time she tried it was not successful but of course when a person is not lazy (like you har har har) trying is always an option. i hope you can find time to plant to since you love eating ocras. thanks a lot for the response.

I remember the first okra I ever planted was when I was in grade 4 and it did bear fruit after sometime and I know how happy your wife must have felt. Since then, I got interested in planting and have planted tomatoes at home, which also grew and bore fruits. It's a good thing for your son to be interested in. It can become a good hobby for him and from there he learns to appreciate life and nature. I hope you could encourage him more on this. Keep it up!

i am happy to see that my son is interested. yes i will continue encourage him more for this is a good thing if he will plant his own and see it slowly growing. he goes where the plants are maybe ten times a day checking every time har har har as if something will happen that fast. but of course it is still good to see the eagerness in him. thanks a lot for the response and have a great weekend.

I understand how you feel especially your wife, seeing her own fruit of labor is a emotional uplift experience. i am sure she is happy to see her plants grow and bear fruit as expected, at least her effort pay off well at the end, you get to eat some of the fruit of her labor too, the sense of achievment is quite real in her case seeing all these orca fruit ending up on the dinner table for the family to enjoy.

actually i dont eat ocra har har har. but my wife is very intelligent when it comes to cooking. she puts the ocra in soup that you can not almost see it. but of course all the vitamins and minerals that you can get from ocra is in the soup already. me and my son eats it already. there are some veggies that i dont eat that my wife finds a way how to hide it. thanks a lot for the response.

Hi 7th! I love planting! This year, i started with Kangkong seeds and they all sprouted in 3 days! When they got too big in their nursery pad, i had them transplanted in our little farm in Lipa! After kangkong, i started planting radishes but they all wilted in the storm that we had weeks ago. I didnt let frustration get a hold of me. After the radished, i planted eggplant and sunflowers. They did grow in my nursery pad but when i transferred them to our plant box in our house, they all wilted. Awwwwwwwwww. I dont give up easily, hence, i planted melons and broccoli! They are up in a week. I intend to have them transplanted in Lipa as the kangkong was a success story. I hope i can really breed broccoli, anyway, the next months will be colder, i hope it would survive in Lipa.
Well... going back to kangkong, i cant wait to eat them for sinigang! hahaah!

Hi se7enthbird
Wow and very nice size Okra indeed! I know this feeling as several years ago I too use to plant veggies. It was always a thrill to see them grow day by day. This is a really big size one, for which I hope you all get to enjoy many of them.

Congratulations to your wife and it really looks big and since it's organic then it's healthier. I'm not a fan of okra though and i don't actually eat it!
I'm glad that finally your wife was able to have wonderful produce!
