Proper Storage of Glasswares, Dinnerwares and Flatwares

My mother usually collects glasswares, dinnerwares and flatwares. Her reason is that we don't need to rent those utensils when we have occasions instead we will turned it out as a business someday since that she has a knowledge in cooking while I do have a knowledge in food and beverage service. Since her collection was just stacked in the cabinet, I was worried that those utensils will be broken and not good to use in the future. We were just washing them weekly, drying them carefully through the use of soft absorbent towels or sometimes just newspapers to prevent them having some fingerprints and unwanted marks. Do you have some tips to share for me to do it when we arranged them again in the cabinet?
