It is rather agitating to say the very least and it really does get on the uncomfortable level when the phone conversation turns to an absolutely too personal level to say the very least. There are a lot of times where people do not in fact have the common courtesy to really walk off to an area where they are not going to be overheard.
Especially when it is done in a movie theater or a restaurant. There are just a lot of times where people tend to not understand the concept of privacy and the fact that there are just some conversations that we do not really wish to hear. Then again, with many people, consideration is something that they do not really consider to say the very least. Sad but unfortunately true.

That's why, in many public place, there's a sign which is prohibit us to activate cellphone.
Make a phone conversation in public place would annoy most of people, especially if they are doing it with loud voice
And I think it is our rights to remind them about not to having a phone call while they are in public place.
Reminding is better that complaining at their back, though

Hate that too! They should lower their voice when taking calls inside a room, they should have consideration on the people around him/her.

My experience is very bad about it. I lived in a rented room shared with roommate. He usually used to talk to his GF at late night. For me it was hard to sleep in such condition. Some times I got angry and told him to not to do that or to go to outside. But he was stubborn. People should care about others while talking at phone.
When someone talks at phone around me its very irritating for me.

I hate this too, Some people are not talking, they are yelling, and even though if one avoids to hear or pay any heed to their conversation, they are forced to do so, becasue even closing your ears wont help, is so loud :-)

I don't remember where I heard this, but whoever is receiving a call should be inconvenienced when they're in the middle of something. It's ONLY proper to leave the room when receiving a phone call because they wouldn't want anyone else in the room to be inconvenienced as well.
