Maury Povich, Jeremy Kyle...would you put your life out there on tv?

I don't get it I really don't. I am guilty of watching Maury and Jeremy Kyle simply for the entertainment value... The "who's the daddy" storylines, tales of theft within families, cheating couples leave me speechless they really do. What on earth have these families got to gain by making themselves look like fools for the world to see. 16 year old girls dragged on to shows because they don't know who the father of their baby is, just sickens me. I'd love to know how broadcasting their dirty secrets on tv affect their lives once they get home. Any thoughts...?

I don't like watching those programs, nor would I ever think of going on one. I heard that the DNA tests are free, and I guess the lie detector tests are also free, so for people who aren't sure who the father of their kids are, or suspect their spouse is cheating gets to find out for free. But what about those episodes when one person brings someone else on to reveal some secret? Revealing a secret is free and there really doesn't seem to be any point on doing it on a talk show. That is a private moment and shouldn't be broadcast for the world to see. I suspect the person with the secret figure if other people are around, especially cameras, then the person they are telling it to won't yell or freak out. But as far as I can see, it doesn't seem to make a difference. And the person may be even more upset later for being told in public like that. I'd hate it if I received a notice telling me my family member or friend wanted me on as a guest on a talk show. I would absolutely refuse to go _

If there is nothing else on when I am not working, I will watch Maury and a majority of the time, he has DNA results shows. It does sicken me when someone on there tests 3 guys and none of them are the father, then more men get tested, blah, blah, blah. These people usually have such low self-esteem and low self-respect that they don't care. Plus I think their trip is basically paid for, and so are the DNA tests (which are expensive) and lie detector tests. So, basically it is a freebie for them. But I have to say that when I do watch the Maury show, I look at these people and even though my life is not perfect, it could be worse and they make my life look so much better.
