James Web Telescope to cost $6.8 billion

I heard the House Appropriations Subcommittee for Commerce have plans to scrap this project that started construction in 2008. That's a lot of money to waste on a telescope. A big price to pay to see beyond the universe. If they ever to scrap it, it may cost much much more than they already have. I'd say they cut some of the defense budget where they are making weapons that they won't use in the first place.
