there are tons of theorys about wheather or not we come from apes. to me, it a little difficult to believe that because of all the things i hear. some ppl compare us humans to apes species. what do u think? we look so much alike. some of us even have hair on our bodies just not like they do. we may have similarities but i dont think we come from them. i think HE made us differntly from them. god is our creator. and he created them too. what is ur insight?

its only a theory that we evolve from apes. theory is not a fact. if we came from apes, then why other apes did not evolve into human like us until now?..they still remain as apes for thousands of years. so do not confuse with theories.. God did not create humans out of an ape..

We did not come from apes, let me clear that up for your, The hypothesis is that we had a common ancestor with chimpanzees about 5 to 7 million years ago. Thus meaning we are not apes, just that we are what you could say our long lost cousins. As a species we are very similar, and the reason for that may truly be that our origins come from the same species, and as far as you mentioning "God" it is nice to see that you believe in your faith that much but, blindly believing supernatural stories cause ignorance. That is why we must always remain open-minded and learn things we never knew about, and discover things that haven't been proven.

it is not a 'hypothesis' or 'just a theory', it is a SCIENTIFIC THEORY (the highest level of scientific truth) of the same standard as 'the theory of gravity', 'atomic theory', 'germ theory' .etc
Evolution explains the diversity of life, not it's origin [that's abiogenesis]
Evolution does not disprove a god (it only disproves fundamentalist interpretations thereof)

I believe we were created just as we are. My question to thoses who believe we came from apes is...why are there still apes then???...why didnt all apes become human???...I do believe some people lived in caves. I believe some people may have looked different in the past. But theres a reason why they have never found a missing link. Its because there isnt a missing link.

Some people were insisting men evolved from apes. I wonder why! Maybe there is some apes instincts on them or they could very well have monkey like features. But me I can't accept the theory of evolution. I did not evolve from monkey. I am human and even my ancestors are. I believe God created me and so are the other humans. Now if there are people who believe they evolved from apes then they should be caged.

apes and humans belong into the present day modern world....
then how can a modern species evolved into another modern species?
i too don't believe in evolution because one of the member's of forum convinced me that even EVOLUTION THEORY is also just a theory....
and still lack of evidence to support such claims (the big gaps i think).....

I don't think that we come from Apes. I believe that we all have a wonderful creator to whom we awe our lives. He created us as we are and we did not evolve from another species. There is no question to His creation because He made it all so perfectly. And besides, it does not sound good to say, "My ancestors are from the Apes of the West or the Apes of the East." I don't want to think that my great great grandparents are Apes.

we evolved from apes. I think we're categorised as a species of ape, even. albeit with some noticeable differences.
genetically, isn't there less than 10% difference in our DNA to that of a gorilla?
I don't have a problem with the idea that we evolved to what we are now from a more primitive ape species. it's not offensive to me. some people are offended by that idea, but to me that's as daft as being offended by the idea we each began our individual lives as two fused cells. it's where we come from, and nothing to be ashamed of.
it doesn't demean us to admit that we're animals. it should give us a greater sense of being part of something very special.

yeah i think ur on2 something here...i suppose one must ask the right question on this tough one...but the truth is out there written in black ink in a sacrid book called the BIBLE. we are different than apes, i knew this all along. but did u-mylotter?! dont think about it bcuz ull give urself a headache and i dont want to be responseable for that...=)but that is a nice argument

There might be common ancestors, but it is more like cousins rather than direct descendants in my opinion. If you look at the phases an embryo and fetus goes through, you will see similarities to various species at different points in time during development. I think that each species started out from a common ancestor, but each developed independently depending on what it needed to survive in its environment.

According to the Bible, God created us according to His own image. And, I believe this also includes the physical aspect.I don't think that god looks like an ape, do you?
Anyhoo, this is a long time argument between science and religion. But regardless of the theories, I DO NOT BELIEVE that we came from apes, though we may have similarities to the primates but if we came from them, say, some primates evolved into humans, then, why there are still apes or primates at present.
We are the highest form of an animal and amongst all animals we are the only ones who are rational.

Do you know how you God looks like? no I guess not. so lets ignore that sentence on your post since its not valid because it is just impossible. Okay lets move on to the next section. The reason there are still apes as you said. The research says we share a common ancestor with the chimpanzees, concerning as how they are still present, maybe the conditions of life were different? and caused the evolution to be different, it could be due to different places, other predators, different needs to survive, just as how there were different kinds of humans. Only thing is that the apes have survived and adapted better than others. To conclude, we are not the highest form of animals as you say, every species is special in their own way and survives differently, we have just succeeded in building our civilizations, but if we were to go back to living on a forest. What would survive more, the ape or you? yes I am sure you can guess, that is the reason as to why we cannot call ourselves superior.

"did we come from apes?"
Not me. I come from a rare specie of reptiles from which only me and Komodo dragons are still on this planet.
Who or what is that thing, god, you mention?

hummm...i think ur being sarcastic and ill play along lol...this god..itll be complicated to explain to someone.do u go to church? i know we are alive because god breaths breath into our lungs. he created us for a reason...think of god like the president..only he's fair. i dont know u may have ur own opinion and thats fine! just read a bible or/and go to church. and ask the preacher ur question-'who is GOD' and im sure he'll be more than happy to tell u! happy MyLotting!

both of the theories are wrong....
we really don't know where we all came from....
if the question is:
"did we come from apes?"
then it is wrong....
the correct question is:
"did we come from Australopithecus?"
note:
according to Science
= apes and humans came from Australopithecus
since apes are belong to modern day animals
and humans are belong also to modern day humans
how can a modern day apes came from a modern day humans?

hi:)
Yes you're right, I don't believe that people does evolve from apes, so why until now there is still apes if apes evolve and become humans?, does that mean that these apes will become human also in time? I don't think so, that's a crazy theory.
I believe that we were created by God in His own image. That God gave man a human soul that makes them individual.

So is God of Asian appearance? Or perhaps Negro...maybe aborigine? If God created man in his own image, how is it that men don't all look the same? Why do we have different facial features, build, height and so on according to the area we come from?
Apes did not turn into humans, humans evolved as another branch while the various primates continued as they were. Evolution is not simply a stop/start function.

I think that It is a possibility and it makes sense to me. I believe that God works in mysterious ways and we have been created through evolution from apes. That is just a possibility though and we can never really know unless God himself decides to tell us personally.

I do not believe we evolved from apes. If we did then why are there still apes around that look and act like apes why did they nor evolve with the rest of their species.
I prefer to believe that God made us in His image and he started with Adam and Eve.

You are correct in saying that we did not come from apes. We are of the same family and do share a common ancestor with apes. The proof is written in our blood, and was proven with the decoding of the human genome.

Hi verolop, That's a question that many people ask. There will always be those who say yes and those who say no, and everyone has a right to their opinion. I believe in God but I still think that we evolved and were not created as we are today. There is so much that we will never understand here and it's best to respect the opinion of others, even though we may not agree with them. Blessings.

Fun how you believe in some magical being creating humans with his/her super powers but not in something feasible like evolution. Human's brains are still a mistery.

We are not from apes..I believe we are born like we are now. Not from other species. I truly believe we looks different due to evolution-I don't know how the ancestor look like but very sure similar to us now but to say that we are from apes I am not agree at all. Apes are apes...Humans are humans...(^^)
