Can somebody please tell me what is the status of the NBA lockout? Will it end soon? Is there going to be a next season?

I dont htink this is going to end this year and we will be without a NBA season this year which isnt that fun because now we have alot of building sitting aruond doing nothing but having concerts in them from time to time. I live in South Florida and go to some Miami Heat games during the year and would love to attend some this year.
I know they are trying to stop from having so many good players on one team this year and it might look like they will do what they can to stop it all together this year. The NBA will not have a season if the owners are willing to just stop what they are doing and wait the year they are talking about. I know some under payed players wont be to happy but the over played payers shouldnt worry as they will have money in their pockets no matter what happens.

as far as I know the NBA Lockout is a huge thing that is here to say, aside from the discussion of money that we had to go through with the NFL and also the security of medical benefits and such we also have a arguement over the age limit to get into the NBA, college players don't want to have to wait to get into the NBA because colleges wont pay them and they think that if the age was raised to 21 then they would be waiting too long to start earning the kind of money they could get from the NBA and also they are risking injury, there are talks of starting to pay college players and keeping them in college the players would probably be ok with that ... the other issue is the salary cap the building of these "SUPERTEAMS" like the miami heat have raised the eyebrows of other team owners who are now pushing for a hardcap which wouldnt allow for this type of thing to happen again but this would also put a dent in the pockets of highly touted players, the players would like to have a flex cap that is even more favorable then this years cap ... both sides are stubborn and the bad news is I hear the Owners are willing to sit a year out to pressure players into signing just to prevent further work stoppage.

i am from the Philippines and we love watching the game. Sometimes we even get to the point of not going to work just to watch especially the Finals... I hope it could be resolved as soon as possible... Can the owners and players just get along for the sake of the game?????? I hope it's not just about the money. All of them are already earning alot of money, those greedy @%$@#$!!! HOw about the less fortunate people who enjoy to watch the game?
