my lot should have a edit option. so when ever we forget something in a comment or discussion. we can quickly change it but you should only have the edit option for like 10 minutes. so it don't affect the system. what do you think.

Hi there, I can see where it would be helpful at times but if you think about how the edit would perhaps be overly used, how will admin be able to keep up. There are times that things need to be reported right, and if members can easily change things then it would be hard for admin to determine and or back track. This is my thinking why myLot does not allow us to edit and instead added the preview so that we carefully preview/edit before we submit. Imagine even for the ten minutes you suggest that we are allow to go and make changes. Each time we submit the alerts go to the email inbox, so there in my opinion would be a great many confusions. Don't get me wrong even with the preview I too at times have made mistakes. They expect us to take our time but with human error it is bound to happen.

Still, what if we were given a time limit HWG? Another problem with the preview is it doesn't show everything, like photos. There were times I posted something and I always double check that a photo is there, and yet when I submit it, it isn't there. If I had time to quickly correct it instead of waiting and hoping someone will reply so I can upload my photo, I can do it then..

@ amkiller: Why did you miss out a comment in this box? Are you still being lazy?

I think and just assuming based on what I have read in other discussions that it depends on what browswer one uses. I can see my photos in preview and sometimes I can see the smiley's and sometimes not. I use Firefox and the members that said they could not see the photos were using Chrome?? I think that due to the fact that there have been issues here, especially in the past there would be an abuse with the editing system. I do not believe we have an admin on 24/7, so this could be an issue with erm, those who edit, edit type activities. See if I make a mistake and someone comments under me pointing out the mistake right then I go and change the mistake but the person who commented does not then how can the discussion flow? Especially in our types of discussions where we forever go back and forth in boxes.

Hi amkiller, So did we think when were new at mylot and still feel that if that facility is there it would be better. What I presumed that since the users of mylot are intelligent enough not to make mistake before the content is posted. And instead of edit option they have given you "preview response" but most of us are lazy to re read there itself and when silly mistake is detected we feel - oh there should have been edit option. lol

A little sincerity might help us not to do silly spelling mistake. I believe that no one mind if there is silly spelling mistake. If the sense of the sentence seems correct. Ah, there is also spell check in mylot comment box which help us to rectify our spelling mistake or correct our unintentional mistake in typing. Also the preview option in mylot do a good job to make the correction. If edit option is here, we might misuse it in many ways which will be tough for mylot administrator to control. Happy Mylotting :-)

I think that would defiantly be a good idea. There are times that I send something and its got a few typos or even sometimes I forget to add something.

Then add another comment to it so you will also get paid for that additional comment. If it's an edit, you won't be able to get paid for it since you are still using the same comment to make changes. Right?
