Think about this for a minute. How annoying is it for you when "believers" troll science topics just to enlighten you about their views on scientific topics? Yeah, that's how annoying you are when you troll here. ;~D

Science has not one shred of evidence for the existence of trolls.

It is sad that there are people who think you Have to choose between science and religion.I think there are many who can and do have both in their lives! I don't think one has to to demean one in he name of the other. Don't get me wrong . I have no desire to study science. I really don't care if the earth began with Adam and Eve or with two amoebas! I'm just tired with this war . I believe Both stances are right. If you believe in Eden fine, if not Fine! Everyone has a choice!

Not rare at all, in fact, I think they are just as common as trolls as passionate believers.

Truly sad, but it is mostly found among trolls. The people of science I know never ask anyone to choose between one and the other.

Haha, Cute topic. That makes so much sense and I love the way you turned it around for the other side to really understand the annoyance here. Many times these discussions get into a heated debate. I am interested to see what the posters will come back to this one with! Fun stuff I hope.

It does not annoy me at all, all are free to express their view, even ignorant bigots who cannot argue cogently. Science is no threat to religion nor religion to science all the best urban

Nicely put, Urban! If funny, the I know have never asked anyone to choose between science and religion. It seems that demand is mostly made by trolls of both sides.

They lookin' fer a fight, Teddy, jes' lik u lookin' fer a fight! In all seriousness, though, I see that everywhere I go, LOL I used to be a chat admin at a large christian debate chat room, and hoooo BOY did you ever see the atheists and christians go at it, it was like watching WWF - in text! Sometimes people got really angry over sensitive topics, but for the most part there's trolling or strong debate then some friendly bantering afterwards. Then there's those who really don't like us theists, I've seen those on Youtube. I see a lot of theists get angry and try to pass judgement, then I see a lot of atheists use foul language. I often wonder why so much anger? Was it due to touching raw nerves? Or a need to "evangelise" everyone to their own beliefs? Or the feeling of frustration that people who don't believe the same way as they do, thinking the beliefs are bunk and stupid? I've been told by one foster mother that religion and politics are the 2 most controversal topics. I admit I'm not a good debater, and I'm not standing up for one specific side, because I believe strongly that we need to be truly convinced in what we believe. A coerced faith is never a true faith. I think debates are healthy, as it causes one to think for themselves. I know my time in the debate chat room really helped me define my personal beliefs. Anyway, that's my personal opinion, now let's get back to trolling

I don't consider it trolling if it is civil and stems from honest curiosity or the love of a polite debate. It's trolling when it takes the form of: "You're an idiot because you believe in imaginary fairies" or "You're going to burn in hell for your blasphemy you disgusting excuse for a human being" If someone honestly asks "How can you believe in one part of the Bible but not another?" or "Are you aware of the holes and inconsistencies in this scientific theory?" Then it's fine

Being a science troll has a long and honored history stretching back to Nicolaus Copernicus and before. While it is annoying to have cherished beliefs challenged these science zealots have had no small influence on shaping our current understanding of how the world really is. Long live the trolls who help to expand our knowledge of the world as it is, not as how we would like it to be.

You mean listen to the "believers" come in and spew Kent Hovind at us who well isn't a doctor and if he was a teacher of science I feel really sad by the fact that he knows nothing of the Theory of Evolution. So I think the trolling is going both ways. Science people come here because Religious people come to our discussions and try and tell everyone they are wrong and can't prove macroevolution (Which doesn't exist in science as it is just evolution). Or go the Bible is a scientific book which in my mind is being unfair to the Bible because then you are saying test this book to the Scientific Method which really won't hold up as it would fall under a work of fiction as most of it isn't provable. So I think that the trolling will continue because of this since the beginning of time if there was a beginning that is this trolling has been going on at least for now no one is getting burned at the stake for speaking their beliefs.

Actually, the point was that the trolling DOES go both ways. I'm just pointing out to the Science zealots that their trolling is just as annoying to us when the believers troll them. ;~)

I hear what you are saying, I really do. But if I didn't argue religion with science and science with religion, life just wouldn't be any fun.
