I envied other people who earned so much money and yet their load of work is not that heavy. Unlike us, aside from doing the lesson plan, computing grades of the students and attending classes during official time make me wonder to changed my job and look for a greener pasture that will make my life easy and worthy.
Aside from that, I need to bring home some paper works that steal my quality with my kids.
It makes me sad thinking about that..why other jobs can make other people earn money well while in my job can't?

Teaching is a noble profession and it is a worthy job. Though no matter what you do, you have to love what you are doing so that it will feel like you're not working at all.

Yes, I do know what you've said are all true and correct. Maybe I've just been fed up this past few days due to pressure and lots of paper works. Plus I don't know what to react when I received my permanency last July 1 and until now I don't have my salary due to transfer. I have 3having kids to feed and having no money to support them during the processing of my papers make me sick.
God bless you guys!

I agree, do what you love because life is short. As frequently as we can we always thank our kids' teachers and tell them how invaluable they are to our children's development. Great teachers are an asset and we love them. Thanks for being a teacher =)

I consider myself lucky because I get to work at home. I am earning but I can still look after my kid and take care of my husband. An employee, a mother and a wife at the same time. And my salary is above minimum, so yeah I am lucky!
But lately, I have been thinking of going back to teaching. You may ask why but there is something in me that misses teaching so much.
This something is the desire to teach, the desire to impart knowledge and help kids be better. I have seen teachers that need a lot of teaching themselves and it really frustrates me. Why? Because it is obvious that they don't love their profession. If you are one of those that doesn't love to teach and yet you are teaching, I suggest that you take a break, find that lost desire. Or if you love to teach and is just frustrated with the salary and the tedious paperworks, then stay there. That feeling won't last long really. Continue to teach because we can't afford to lose worthy teachers.

Anyway, I really salute for all the teachers for you are the molder of knowledge of the future leaders of our universe. That's why teaching is a worthy job. Teaching job is kind of work that needs a lot of effort but you can not earn a lot of money unlike other professions like lawyers, doctor or etc, depending on the countries if how teachers get their compensation. Just like for instance, like Thailand, teachers in this country are well compensated they get a lot of benefits.

I would always consider teaching to be a worthy job. A teacher leads the way into the education of so many lives. We are learning throughout our lives. having someone to teach us is always something that should be admired.

Oh this question, I have heard it and asked it a lot of times and have come to a personal conclusion. Is it worth it? Yes and no. A person that only thinks about money should not become a teacher.
I basically grew up in a school, my mother was and is currently a teacher. While I was growing up I saw the point of view of a teacher, it really is a hard job, probably harder than many others which get paid even up to double of what a teacher earns. The thing is, when you help your students, and you see them in the future many years later, with a successful career and has already formed a family. From what I have seen, most teachers somehow feel as if they accomplished something and feel proud of what they do. It is one of the most important profession as a teachers can change our lives, make us better persons, that's a parent's job but while you are in school, the ones who are responsible for you are you teachers. That is why being a teachers means, thinking of your students as family and just trying to help them.
To conclude, it is worth it for the personal satisfaction that you get from helping kids.

When I was growing up,even in my teenage years I wanted to be a teacher. But,they do not make enough money and work hard.
However there are those people that work very hard and make a lot of money. But,don't have time to enjoy spending it.Like doing things with their families and friends. They end up hiring someone else to do it,like a nanny for their children and a chauffer to drive their spouse to the theatre where the ticket is waiting and they never show up at because they got caught up with work related tasks.
It's sad!I think I'd rather be a teacher where at least teaching children or giving anyone knowledge would be personally rewarding.

Teachers in our school district make out VERY well in pay and benefits. Sadly there has been much drama here about our state's budget crisis. And in effect has required teachers to pay tward their pensions and medical plans. It's funny one of teachers said her pension wasn't very much. Well sadly they are paid very well despite what they think the rest of the world gets paid. As their pay is made public and she alone makes 2x what hubby and I earn togeather in an year.
Certainly a teacher is a very well respected profession however, with the behaviors recently many parents have lost respect for some of the teachers with all the drama and the walk-outs. It seems some of the teachers feel that their pay and benefits come before WHY they became a teacher in the first place... the kids.

Being a teacher is one of the noblest profession I can think of but it's really sad that they are the most underpaid vocation in our country.Loads of works and even the time reserved for their family were consumed by making lesson plans. After school they even brought their works home to finish it.
Yeah, your right why are other jobs with less work get pay better while the teacher get less.I consider all teachers as heroes because without them who will teach our students. How can they acquire knowledge without them.As a teacher I think you can do some part time jobs like private tutoring I think it pays better than the regular teacher and requires lesser time.

If you have the insterest and ablity in this line, you can make more money too I think. In our country, teachers have high social position and most of them can earn a lot.

I believe that teaching is a very important occupation that isn't recognized for what it does. Everyone sends their children to get educated, and, ultimately, the teacher is the one that helps guide children in the right direction, starting at a very young age in life, and continuing over a very long time, and very important time. However, people don't seem to realize just how much teachers need to do. ): I hope that one day, they will !

It's quite difficult to find a job which we like and can earn much money at the same time, most people are doing some jobs either loath or just make a little money, and they just keep on doing that, never think of changing. In fact, nothing is unalterable, if you are eager to change something, they can be changed and at that time a new life could be waiting for you.
