Talking about somebody you just met

So on Sunday I took a friend out to lunch. She's kind of broke, so I bought her a few groceries too. There's this guy in the apartment downstairs who's after her butt. And I do mean that more or less literally. He helps her out with stuff, so maybe he isn't all bad, but really she doesn't like him that much. So anyway, after I dropped her and her groceries off, I came downstairs and he and this other guy were talking. They said hi, nice day, we exchanged a few words, then I went on my merry way. Next day she tells me that they told her they met me and that I have big boobs, among other things (yeah OK I need to lose some weight). Well OK, I DO have big boobs. But trust me, if that was all there were to me, there would be two big old bowling balls rolling around and nothing else. OK, point is, you meet a friend of a friend, and when you mention that to the friend, do you say I met so and so and immediately start describing so and so's body parts? Ok, a guy to another guy, probably yes. But a guy to a woman he's interested in? Really? Maybe this is just a guy thing, but seriously?

LOL and no not me but have heard the same but specifically from guys. I guess it is a guy thingy. lol I have only known women to do this when they are critiquing not describing. A girlfriend use to say did you see that blouse and of course I was oblivious of even the color. But you see the point. My thought is woman only describe when critiquing. Some men describe when admiring and or amazed.

It's guy thing for sure. And he is out for no good. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. WHich I couldn't so not at all. hehe He obviously has no class, a one track mind, no manners and no tact. Is there anything redeeming about him? Doubtful. I would be polite and stay away from his as much as possible. All he needs is to have a few drinks and.......?!

I would stay away too, but my friend is, frankly, using him. Eventually he'll figure out that he's not going to get anything out of it, though.

The guy sounds like a total loser. Hopefully, your friend will learn to avoid him. He obviously has no respect for women, and he will likely use her and toss her aside as soon as the next T&A walks by (that's all he sees, obviously). Men who respect women look at the total person--not a couple of body parts. While there are a lot of sleazy men out there who think of women as nothing more than body parts, there are also quite a few decent guys out there who don't.

Well, guys do talk about things like this together but it just wasn't the right thing to do to talk about you to your friend in this way. I hope that she does stay far from him as he sounds really obnoxious. Some women feel the warning signs but they get lonely and go out with the guy in desperation really. So tell her to keep far as this one is a jerk

I'm afraid it will all come to naught if she doesn't get a job soon. Stupid job market... yeah, I think he's a jerk, and she knows to stay away from him, but he won't stay away from her. But then she takes food from him and he pays her for odd jobs. She's that hurting for money.

Guys will always be guys! And that body part will always be the first to be noticed when seeing or meeting somebody new (unless of course it is un-noticeably lacking). But it isn't part of the code to share that information with women, specially one you are interested in.

Face it Your Stacked , they are straight and they noticed! And unless they are so big that you are having back problems , You don't have to lose weight! men are visual.so they look. It is when they say rude stuff that I get upset.

You know, it might be a guy thing, but I have no respect for a guy who talks that way in front of a woman, and like you said, a woman he is interested in. If I were your friend, that would seal the deal of not wanting this guy in my life, because this shows he will talk like this in front of anyone, (Including a parent or boss, not good at all)

Its quite common among guys nowadays but if i see any of cousin bro doing this they will get a good hearing as its not acceptable. I am bit glad of my culture as guys are bit afraid to talk about woman like that to another woman. Its rude but sadly many guys don't know how to talk to woman and its very rude to say things like that.I will be offended also if i were in your place and maybe i will burst out my anger on my friend on how dare she listened to their rubbish and did she scolded them or not.

That is definitely not the way to look at a friend of someone that you would like to be involved in. I'm actually quite glad to hear that your friend isn't interested in this man because even though he does do things for her, he is still nothing but a dog and that is not the kind of person that anyone's friend needs to be involved in. I know that you probably didn't say that to her, but maybe it will add more fuel to the fact that she doesn't really like him.

He's a moron. I can't even imagine how the conversation went down. Just thinking about it makes me laugh. You would think he would show a little more respect. He can't think that would attract her. Of course, men don't think so that would be the problem. Best Wishes!

dawnald, Just a question, how would you know if your friend did not overheard about your asset from a conversation which did not mean to have her around? Coming from a man's perspective who happens to have a lady, I doubt in my sane mind I would ever talk about another woman especially her physical asset(s) and when it happens to be her neighbor. Unless, I have an IQ of a dim wit or that I am looking for a new partner, I just do not think so. I am not siding the man or men, but I would like to think that sometimes word(s) get around. And, your friend just happened to be at the end of it. Anyway, I suggest you do not have any second or third thoughts about the overheard conversation. After all, you should be happy that you are being regarded as a well endowed individual and nothing else. I don't believe that this guy could be so degrading and mean to the woman you are interested and love. Nah.

Its a guy thing! Some of the guys I work with will say things like that we they see a college students with big boobs! This usaully happens when the students are coming threw the food line for a meal. This doesn't bother me. Men can be jerks and always will be. Believe me I have heard awhole lot worse!!

I'm sure it is a guy thing, but it takes a certain type of cluelessness or crassness to make that kind of remark to a woman about her friend.

Bowling balls - ha ha! Guy talk with body parts - I can see that. But yah, talking to a girl about that - not cool. Which makes me wonder if he's "really" interested in her - probably not. Maybe interested in the "butt" part - but not "seriously". What a terd . . . me personally, I wouldn't want help from a guy like that no matter how much I needed help. I wouldn't ever want to give the pleasure of making a guy like that feel I owe him anything.

Sounds like a guy things to me. Also sounds like he is trying to make her jealous. I have had male friends that do these types of things and I tend to stay away from them when they meet new people because I do not want to hear about their opinions of women.
