What a good friend really do

What if you got someone that you really like (feels like that person is your one only world), and a friend of yours knows that the person that you really like had been already dating someone. And you are unaware of that main fact. What should a friend do? Should a friend tell you the truth about the person that you really like have been already dating someone? Knowing that you would really get hurt knowing that fact. Or a friend boost you to go on with what you really feel to that person that you really like??

I think if a friend know the truth about your mater ,he shall tell your the information whatever you would be hurt or happy when heard about that ?friend shall share boring and happy ,when catch trouble he would help you out
