hello,
i have facebook accounts that i registered myself before but never used them. they will not disappear i guess but i see many are responding to it, like sending requests that they be added. some, not even known to me. you would even ask why did you make one in the first place? well, i thought i would like to have one but after seeing that the people in your list could just click and copy the same, i had second thoughts. now, i dont even bother opening them. i didnt want to delete it for the reason that it might be useful in the future.
what do you do with your inactive accounts?

I was told that after 6 months an inactive email account disappears. I let my first gmail account fade away. At the time I was with Yahoo most of the time. But when yahoo didn't let me switch back to the classic version in July , I converted all my yahoo accounts to gmail. and then I deleted my yahoo addresses. It felt so good! But with Facebook I have no idea how to delete it . I am not there on purpose. I like my privacy!

Hi Ann...I never gave much thought to my inactive /abandoned accounts. And what happens to your inactive and active accounts when you die? Hmmm, maybe they go to that great big account cyber space heaven in the sky. Good question...what does happen to them?

really funny, dennis.
well, i am not really sure.
sarah here (reply no. 1) said it disappears after 6 months. but i have this 1 account in yahoo which i remembered visiting after more than a year, but it is still there. i also opened 3 facebook accounts (i guess i made that more than 6 months now) - i saw people wanting me to add them. i have this hi5 and badoo accounts - all inactive.
guess i will just let it be. when i feel the need to use it, then i will open and be active there.

I actually don't have any inactive accounts on facebook or any of the other social networking websites. However, I do have many pretty inactive email addresses. The reason that I don't get rid of them is because of the fact that I know that I will need those addresses at some point in the future to use with some of the offers that I will do on swagbucks and things like that which send you a lot of spam that I don't want to get in my normal email account.
