There is a controversy i seen peoples of vegetarian and non vegetarian. Vegetarian peoples says that animals are created by god and they also a living creature like us so why we have to kill them for our self living and they says its a crime. As im non vegetarian my religion prefer to say that animals are created for only human beings. So that we can make more healthy by eating them. What i have to accept. In ancient days i believe man eat animals without getting proper food but now we know what can we eat because we can prepare all because we are educated. Do u think eating animals is good or crime or something not to do?

As far as i know humans started eating animals from stone age up until now for survival in those stone age times human mind was not developed for knowledge and that only thing they do is live for survival against the odds, even animals eat other animals, i dont think there is any problem being a no veg, infact i think animals like chicken or pig or sea food like tuna and all are made for us to survive by eating them and why not we need their nutrients in our body for survival too, think it as an evolution, and only thing we should be concerned about is live your life.

Its completely personal choice what you choose to eat. I am vegetarian but I don't think that we shouldn't eat animal cos god created them like us.
Religions or countries also have no impact on food. You may find both veg and non-veg people in all religions and country.

I am a vegan. I do not eat any animals for ethical and health reasons. I became vegetarian at 4 years old when my sister said meat was an animal. I was totally shocked when finding out that and we had pet cats at that time. I eat a healthy diet which includes fruit and vegetables as well as nuts plus seeds. I take pills daily: Vitamin B12, Iron, Omega and general vitamins for vegetarians and vegans. I love animals and my food didn't have a face. In my home country meat eaters choose chickens, cows, pigs, turkey at Christmas time. In China meat eaters choose to eat cats and dogs. This would be unacceptable in my home country. These are cultural differences and to me no animal should be killed to be eaten. I agree to differ with meat eaters. I will always be proud of being vegan and loving animals.

It's a personal choice, much like choosing a religion or political party. Personally, I do eat meat, mostly because I like it. My rule is a bit odd: I only eat meat from animals that I could bring myself to kill if civilisation broke down and I had to go hunting for myself.
Yeah, I know it's weird, but that's the way I am - I won't eat anything that's cute and/or fluffy (rabbit, lamb, duck, etc.) and I won't eat anything that's cruel in the making (veal, fois gras, etc.), but I don't have a problem with most of the major meats (beef, chicken, etc.).
I'll also always try to make the nicer choice wherever possible: free-range, no factory/battery meat or produce (the RSPCA's Freedom Food being top of the list).

I've heard that one a lot. It's a good rule if you're vegetarian... but does it include potatoes and black-eyed peas?

For omnivores like us eating animals is just something natural. There are many vegetarians who say hypocrite things like they don't want to eat animals because they're living beings, but vegetables are living beings too. Why the discrimination? If they want to respect all living beings, they should leave alone vegetables too and just feed on minerals, I think.

Hello madteaparty,
This is matter of choice that we can eat flesh or not.
But our body suggets that HUMAN BEINGS are not meant for eating flesh as MONKEYS,GORILLAS still eat herbs which we say are our ancestors.
Its ture that plants are also living beings but at least there is difference in plants and animals as animals can always react but plants cannot and by eating vegetables, fruits we don't kill plants we just eat part of it which grows again but this cannot happen with animals. It happens in the case with the milk we get from animals which they can make themselve next day.

a kind of correction:
MONKEYS, GORILLAS are not the ancestors of HUMAN BEINGS.....
why?
because Monkeys and Gorillas they all belong to the modern day species like modern humans too....
therefore,
Monkeys, gorillas, and we as a human being, our true ancestors are the cro-magnon man, peking man, neanderthal man, Australopithecus, java man
(they are all belong to a prehistoric ape-like man)

Hello naseemkum,
I prefer one should not eat animals because our STOMACH is not a graveyard for animals we should eat vegetables, fruits and other things but not flesh.
Its not that if GOD has made human beings most powerful creature than i don't think that we have got the right to kill animals & eat them.
I think a religion can say that animals are created for human beings but i doubt if any religion says that we can kill & eat animals.

but according to Taoism, even plants have a living creatures too,
but Science classify them as Plants...
Animals and Plants contains "Cell"
here is a powerful contradict question:
if you give birth to a baby...
should a baby not allow to drink milk? (animal)
should a baby not allow to drink cow's milk? (animal)
or should a baby not allow to drink even own mother's milk? (animal)
how can a baby grow up if doesn't eat animal milk?
if eating animals is a sin, therefore, we need sin in order to live in this world...
we can get CALCIUM through Cow's milk, and through Human Parents Mother's milk...
and Calcium is the reason in order for the baby to grow, so that the baby's bones getting stronger and grew-up....
are there any calcium abundant in eating plants?
will the newborn babies eat plants abundant in calcium?

Everyone have their own choice of food. Others says, they take in to their system because they're not like the taste and so exotic for them. They're also says that its against the teaching of their religion.
My opinion is, eating meat from animals is good and I prefer to eat these eventhough not all because animals are created by God with different types of veggies for food to human which He create also.

do you know that even plants too is a living organisms?
the only difference between plants and animals is the animals is capable to communicate....
but, animals and plants are all living organisms....
if eating animals is a crime,
therefore...
eating plants too is also a crime....

hi:)
I do eat meat but I make sure that I have more veggies and fruits on my diet, and I think eating meat is a choice, and There is definitely nothing in the Bible that states that meat eating is immoral. and for what I know Jesus fed His disciples fish right? and fish is also animals.

Eating animals is the way life works, part of the food chain. Education does not take away the fact that we need food to live, and meat is food.

I guess it's up to you, I mean if you're not vegetarian, you're bound to eat animals. I'm pretty sure eating animals is a part of human nature, and its perfectly fine. Also, animals eat animals, and technically we're animals.

In my case there is a constant struggle between my needs and my heart. I am a huge animal lover and I fight for their rights, as much as I can. I have not totally given up on meat though. My body needs it, and if I do not eat for too long, I get weak and I can not concentrate, and I am basically good for nothing.
The only things I CAN do, since I can not give up on meat, are not eading forbidden or protected animals, nor uncommon ones, refuse McDonald's, Kfc and others like them, because animals are kept in very bad conditions, and try, as much as possible, to reduce the consume to a minimum.
A (hopefully) future vegan to be. :)
