I go to Universal Studios on a regular basis here in Orlando! There are actually two different parks to it. Islands of adventure and the studio side. Islands of adventure is more kid orientated with Dr. Seuss land, cartoon hero section and the Harry Potter area of the park. Universal has more of the coasters and stores. I have not been to Universal in California but i hear that is where they film a lot of shows and movies. They do not do that here. It's more theme park/ride orientated.

Ok, thanks a lot for the info. I'm probably going to the Islands of Adventure section (mostly because the Harry Potter place is there), but yeah, and I'm in it for the action. Also, FYI I've been to Universal Studios California and they have the simpsons ride and a jurassic park ride. Also, you were right we got to watch as movies were filmed. Anyways, Thanks Alot!!!!

Yes, Universal Orlando is more of a theme park, but in fact they do film movies at Universal Orlando is just that they film in the sound stages so is not accessible to the regular park guests. Parts of Beethoven's Big Break and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective were filmed in Universal Orlando.

I did not know that thank you! It's very interesting to find out that they do film. Since they do film there is it possible at all to go to that section of the park?

I haven't been there since they opened the Harry Potter place but I found it to be different from the one in California. There were a few similar things but it was mostly different. If you like roller coasters Universal Studios in Florida has a really cool coaster called the Rock and Roll Roller coaster, it is super fast and really cool.
