At the end of my school year, our french class has a trip to paris, france. I really wan't to go but i don't think my boyfriend will go too. He's in french with me. Money is also an issue. Can you help?.
See the problem is I really wan't to have him along in the city of love with me. Why wouldn't he want to come. I'm trying not to be paranoid or anything its just confusing. Guys,I'm sure you might have some idea why.
Another problem is it cost 2,800 dollars. We will be going for 10 days 9 nights. hotel, round trip tickets, breakfast, tour guide, all included. so the price is fair. I just don't have it. Iv'e been trying to raise money, but i always end up spending it.
If you have any suggestions let me know.
Thanks -Riah

I wanted to go to Paris too. It would be really expensive and will take a long time before I can raise enough money. Of course I want my husband and my son with me, it will be $2800 x 3. I don't think that I can even raise half of the expenses in one year time. If you can raise enough money then go ahead, I know you are working hard and you should definitely treat yourself.

I think that $2,800 is a lot to save and it is strange they expect students to have this huge amount of money. I learned French for five years when I was at secondary school. I lived in Kent in England the county nearest to France in those days. However now I live somewhere else further away. I visited Paris when I was 19 years old with my sister. We took a train, ferry, train and metro to the hotel we stayed at. It was a five day trip and we spent little money. I think your boyfriend is put off by the high price.
You could organize a trip independently much more cheaply. You could buy the lowest possible cost flights to Paris and stay in youth hostel accommodation in a dorm. If you got a cheaper flight to London you could go to Paris by train. This high speed train goes to Paris, Brussels and Disneyland Paris. Instead of a guide you could have a good travel guide book. Good luck.

wow.. i want to go to paris too! that is my dream city and you have a very nice opportunity.. but then the amount is pretty big and i think that is why your boyfriend is not taken with the idea. he may want to spend for you things while on the trip but maybe he cannot do it since times right now are crisis.

france is one of my dream, but I feel it become further and further.Firstly,I have no time to study french and now I donot know it at all. Then secondly,I have no money and I am still in school. However, I still dream it sometime. And I believe one day I will travel in France .
By the way ,I think a girl should treat herself well.
