The old religions have a multiplicity of gods, which are not just all for different things, but all are unique in their way. Which god / goddess who / what gods do you like best and why you can find just him / her likable way?

clearly Zeus. The lightning was cool with them, which he can throw when he's angry about, that has some women and several children, and lives in the mountains. There is always something to do, especially his children are very active, because never a dull moment.

I am right there with you Jove is the Roman version of Zeus and had the appetite to have relations with pretty much everything I mean Zeus shared the love so to speak.

In the Greek pantheon has always liked me best Aphrodite, the goddess of love and her sister Athena, goddess of wisdom. In the Egyptian gods Isis I particularly liked, because of their eternal love for Osiris and Bastet, the cat goddess.

i don't like any ancient gods/goddesses. i have only one God, the beginning and the end, the first and the last, the alpha and the omega, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, Creator, Holy, Almighty, Sovereign and there's no one like Him. He is not a God created by human hands and He is not a God who needs everything we can give.

"And I shall make him in OUR image" (Emphasis added). Not "my" image, "our" image, just the first of many references to a plurality of gods in the "Old Testament" that have somehow survived thousands of years of editing and translation. The Biblical God was probably part of a pantheon originally and slowly eliminated His competition through the spread of the Torah. I guess it would be hard not to back a winner. But, smilingjack, He's definitely not boring in the Bible. Bit of a jerk, but not boring.

I like the ancient gods of Egypt. They all are half human and half animal. Me and a close friend have been studying their religion and it is very beautiful. Out of all the gods, I like Hathor the most. She is cow goddess. She gives people inspiration.

Jove was the king of the gods, and the god of sky and thunder. He is the equivalent of Zeus in the Greek pantheon. He is Jupiter in the Roman Pantheon and well he is pretty much Zeus. Because when he wanted to do something he didn't ask if he could he did it. He was basically a Bada$$. Like the God of the old testament if you questioned him he would kill you it was pretty simple. Also had a thing for all of the vises actually that is something I dislike about the modern religions like Christianity is that God lacks anything relating to us. We are suppose to be made in his likeliness yet we share no traits with him.

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel. What I like about him is that he kept every promise he ever made, even to this day.

Favorite God? To find God as a favorite out is difficult. Since it is a family who know our way. But to name one which I have devoted my life as it is the son of Odin, Thor. Magni and his son and daughter Thrud I am jealous for you because you are to unite all the strength of this earth. They were there to protect all the gods messenger.

mine is the "creator" "the great spirit" "watanka" For me I prefer "great spirit" .... why, I can not say exactly the sweat lodges have helped me to my personal junk "digest" the sweat and pray to me has been one way I can live with and led me to believe mine. think of my opinion, a good and a good way. everything lives, everything is animated, he has opened me to other things in life and has taught me respect and awe in the positive sense. I can enter (sacrifice from me) and also get the "spirit". for me it's a good thing. I discovered my spirituality and the power is within me.

Hm .. never thought about it, but I'd say quite spontaneously Odin / Woden / Wotan. On the one hand because of his wisdom, but above all because he put in comparison to many other Götterm, even self sacrifice was ready. So he sacrificed an eye to gain wisdom and hung himself to the people for 9 days at the world-ash Yggdrasil, wounded by his own spear, which he devises the runes. Really a tougher guy!

I have so many it is kind of unfair to pick one, but I will! Athena. Beauty, wisdom and the ability to get up an knock some heads when it came right down to it. Of all the gods in the ancient pantheons, I like her balance. While I am happy to consult the others as a need arises, Athena is always close to my heart.

I don't think it is to have a favorite God. The word, the light of the world. He is for me God. Jesus Christ.
