How many times do you change your profile picture in Facebook?

I just noticed that some of my friends change their profile pictures as often as once a week. I could hardly change mine for a year. I hardly write on walls but I answer to messages. Last year (or was it a couple of months ago?), there was this silent protest for the children, that if you are with them, you have to put a picture of a cartoon character in exchange to your regular shots. And I did that too. But up until now I haven't replaced that picture because I hardly upload anything new. Am I a loner type? Maybe. How often do you change your profile picture?

I change it about once per two weeks. It is because I got bored with my profile picture But, in addition, I rarely place my own photo. I prefer to put some anime pictures. Better than status update, actually my profile picture would describe my mood best

Such as your picture now right? I like anime too. I've had chibi Edward from Full Metal Alchemist posted as my profile picture for a long time now. Before that I also used the picture of my dog. It does sometimes depend on our moods, doesn't it?

I only use Facebook to catch up with what's happening with my family and friends. I seldom change profile pictures too. I only do so whenever I got some new pictures ready for upload, which is rare. Yes, I have observed a lot of my friends too changing their profile picture almost everyday. I wonder how much time they had on Facebook to be able to micromanage stuff in there everyday. No worries, changing profile pictures is not a measurement of loneliness or happiness.

The jello drink ones. I love those jello drinks. Those drinks really influenced this name of mine. I was trying to figure out a nick for the games we play back in high school and I came upon a Gulaman cart. From there comes the legendary and awesome AgentGulaman.

Better off than selecting AgentRatatat. I encountered a player in an MMO once whose name sticks to my mind. Hi character's name was Tinapay@Keso. And it stuck to my brain for 2 or 3 days. It was in Luna Online and he had tiny wings and a "cobold" (like a jackal troll) looking costume. You play MMOs?

"Changing profile pictures is not a measurement of loneliness and happiness." I like that line. I'll take that into account. By the way, I like your nickname... are you a seaweed agent or a jello agent?

I changed my profile picture about six months ago. I don't change it often unlike my friends. I don't want to judge them but it is as if they are seeking too much attention if they change it at least once a week or some every other day. Well anyway, it is their freedom to do so. They can change it as much as they like.

Hi chiwasaki. We all have our insights in things and that's fine as long as it doesn't affect our daily lives and thinking then it's probably fine. We respect their space and way of doing things as they respect ours. Have a good day!

I changed my profile picture that time too, changing my profile picture into snowwhite. I change my profile pictures depends on my mood or if i got new pictures. And also if I got lots of comment with m present profile picture then I will change it.

Lol, a profile picture creating buzz. But it feels nice when people take notice of you right? It just means that they care or are concerned or are a big fan of yours. It's nice when someone comments or writes on your wall asking how you are or just says hi, isn't it ( as long as they don't spam or stalk you)?

I seldom change my profile, because I seldom use Facebook too. I just go and check my inbox and peak out on my friends' activities. I don;t bother changing my profile that often too. My friends are changing theirs like every hour, and that's their thing. Maybe they like keeping the friends really posted on what they do.

Most likely. I'm guilty of just peeking in the past. But nowadays, it's nice to leave a comment or two, just to let them know that you care about their welfare.

I haven't opened my Facebook in awhile either. Nowadays I just ask my friends to send me a text message and even with that said, hardly anybody sends me messages these days. So, my life is peaceful and hermit-like.

I rarely ever change my picture. I did play with it from time to time when I discovered mobile uploading, but after that I've stopped. I post a status every so often, but those can go for days and weeks at a time too. I'm rarely ever on facebook, and when I am it's to look up a wall post or confirm a friendship when my phone didn't give me an option to. A simple phone reset resolved the problem, but I can be rather lazy too.

All hail the great Facebook lazies. I am one of you. I hardly upload anything new nor do I log in as often. But having a phone capable of browsing Facebook does help especially when I'm too lazy to put the laptop on my lap.

Ha ha, that is true lots of people change their profile pictures almost certainly every week. I change mine about 1 time per year, if not never. I didn't grow into facebook addiction like most people. Just isn't my style to. Perhaps we're the same, I only go on facebook to say happy birthday or respond to messages. Never really understood why people want to know my personal life, I don't even think anyone wants to. Not that it matters, originally I just joined facebook because people demanded as I use to move all over the place, and it was a very efficient way of contacting me.

Chatting through Facebook is one of its perks, aside from the games. But I feel the same way sometimes. Why post on a wall when no one hardly notices you. But I do like to track my best friends, say happy birthday once in awhile, and check what's going on with in my friends' lives. I just remember I haven't opened my Facebook for more than a week. I usually open my niece's though because she likes calling me just to request that I open her Pet Society.

Very rarely. It's not that I don't like taking pictures of myself, I just don't happen to like how I appear in most of them. Don't get me wrong, though, I don't care about other people's opinion on them, I'm just overly picky. Some of my friends change their profile pictures on a daily basis, which is ridiculous, if you ask me. But everyone has a choice, I guess.

And in the end, it's usually by choice. But it's nice to talk about it. Just to share some thoughts. By the way, I also picky about pictures because I'm seriously not photogenic. And my eyes blink when the camera flashes so in half of my pictures I have closed eyes. Thanks for responding everyone. I just got back from laundry, bathing the dogs, and cooking which is why I haven't responded earlier. I was pretty overwhelmed by the length of the discussion.

I was actually late in the protest. When I started using my anime avatar, people had already started getting back to their old profile pictures. Hi flowerfest ^_^.

Not changing your profile picture on facebook doesn't say anything about your character. I change mine once a month. If I happen to have a picture that looks nice, that is. But I don't take snapshots of myself and obsess over which one of it looks better so I can use it as my profile picture. Can't blame those who are guilty of this though. If that's what they want to do then so be it.

I've known those other people you're talking about. I sometimes see them in my niece's Facebook wall. They usually have the anime pose with matching Peace sign. I guess if you're a model or a celebrity it will probably be a big deal. I have a model classmate who always have new professionally photographed profile pictures almost every week and I keep wondering how many women have drooled over his six pack abs (lol). I'm sure most of you who have kids who are in high school normally change their profile pictures often as well.
