If you hear a strange noise are you going to stay where you are, or go see?

like most of the responders, i also will go check it out, and if the noise is really creeping you out, you better have some kind of weapon in your hand.

Well it really depends on the sound. Last night there were two cats fighting outside my house. I was laying in bed when I heard something that sounds like a thing falling on to our garage roof. I was about to look out when I heard the cats purrs. They were fighting like crazy.

Yes, I almost always go and check it out. I live in an old house so I worry sometimes 'did that noise come from the furnace? or Is that the sump pump running constantly?' Most of the time it turns out to be nothing, but I'd rather check to make sure. As far as people getting in my house, my dogs would go crazy with barking if somebody actually came into the house, they're good watchdogs and I don't worry much about that. I have to laugh, I just thought: if I was a girl in a horror movie, I'd be the one who stupidly ventured into the wrong room just to check it out lol.

I think I'll also go outside and try to find out what's going on. Something that's out of the ordinary, I think it's worth checking out. It might be an alien invasion or something far worse.

Chances are, yes, I'd go to find out what the strange noise is. I'd be too curious not to. I know if I didn't investigate, I'd regret it later, wondering what the noise could have been. And depending on what the noise sounds like, I might even bring something I can use as a weapon :P

I will go see cause it might be me or a thief or something. so I will check,also sometimes two noises can sound like the same.

I would probably be one of the stupid ones who would go check it out or have my boyfriend go see what made the noise. Usually he is kn top of it already so I do not have to worry about it. But when I am alone and there are noises outside I call my boyfriend to come home.

If it's during the day then I will probably go and see what the noise is all about, but if it's during the night I'll leave it because I'm a little bit nervous. The alarm would go off if there was anything big downstairs that is dangerous, so I know really that the noise would be nothing to worry about. If my Dad is at home, he'll go downstairs at night to see what the noise is, but if it's just myself and my Mother at home then we're certainly more likely to ignore it unless the alarm goes off, as we wouldn't want to come face to face with an intruder.

When I was still a kid I was so coward but when I have my own family I am no longer afraid. When I hear sounds outside, I check it out. What's important for me is the safety of my family. If it's an extraordinary thing, I'm afraid of that because I can't see them. So I'll just stay where I am.

It really depends on the noise but i think it's better not to put risk in your self to check it out.But checking it will help us also know what made that noise and we will also be familiar with the criminal if it exist.

It really depends on the sounds I heard But I had already experienced this before when someone is going inside our backyard I just shouted what he is doing and he jump in our fence I think he will steal our clothes that is hang outside our house.

I would go and find out what the strange sound is. I will be more concerned than get scared from it. I guess we can't help but be conscious of what's happening on our surroundings. We find it more interesting to know what exactly it is when the strange sound distracts us from what we are doing. In case I'm too scared to go especially if it is too dark, I'll try to find someone who will accompany me to investigate where the strange sound is. It would be a fun idea to have a companion with you and together you will find the mystery of the strange noise.

I hate those creepy noises, especially at night. When I'm in the house at night and I hear something. I would freeze for a bit and then I mentally debate whether to check it out or not. Usually I would check it out but I'll only stay inside. I wouldn't go outside at night because you have no idea what's out there in the shadows.

I think that depending on what the noise sounds like, and who I am with, I will act accordingly. If I am alone and I hear a strange noise that sounds somewhat dangerous, I will most likely go away from the noise. However, if I'm with friends and the noise just sounds out of ordinary, we might go take a look.

Of course, I'll go out and see what causes the strange noise. But, if the sound is somewhat scary, I won't dare search for it. I might have a heart attack and die right at that moment.

i would definately like to go and see "what's the matter?",because its better to see earlier before it become trouble for you....!

if i am inside my house and i hear strange noise i surely check its source but i arm myself before. if i am outside my house then i do my best to avoid going anywhere near the source..you can never be too carefull cheers..

I usually pip first through the window if the noise is outside. Have seen people getting killed because they went to check some noise outside only to find an armed robber. So I approach the scene with caution, I also minimize the noise inside the house so that I can listen properly to the disturbance.

I am one of those who believe in practical approach and dont believe in super natural power. If I heard a noise I will go and check ,it may the cat running here and there or it may bees humming. I have face such situation. I also face when a theif trying to knock down my house door. If I didnt went he might have broken it. First of all we must fearless to face any such situation
